This center opened in winter 2023; it was originally a Bank of Virginia Beach, which was built and opened in 1979. It later became a First Union, became a Wachovia in 2003, and became a Wells Fargo in 2011, which closed in 2020.
The Sydney Opera House is an iconic performing arts centre located in the city of Sydney, Australia. It was designed and largely built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, issues with the state government led to his resignation from the project in 1966; six years before completion in 1973. The architect did reconcile with the Sydney Opera House Trust in 1999, when he was appointed as a design consultant for future work.
On June 28th, 2007, the Sydney Opera House was listed as a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site.
The Sydney Opera House is situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to another icon of the city: the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The building is surrounded on three sides by water, flanked by Sydney Cove and Farm Cove.

Internal cable routing mod. Cable runs through the seatpost to Mafac racers over the stainless fittings. The bike's a nice old Mercier being built into a picnic bike with a Velo Orange Porteur rack and a lever action Simplex front derailleur (like this www.flickr.com/photos/stronglight/2301517582/in/photostre....
While replacing a scratchy pot I took a couple of shots of the interior of my Polymorph. I found all the duct tape on the connectors to be mildly amusing.

Sometimes it takes a while for that fireplace to start heating. Plum brandy (Sljivovica) is a traditional way to stay warm... and to start monkey business.

OD of this little bit of tube is just a bit smaller than the ID of the rack tubing. I use this as an "internal lug". It has a dual purpose. The first is to pin the intersecting tubing in place, the other is to act as an "internal lug" to reinforce the joint.

This is the internals of my old DVD player that developed problems reading disks. I opened it up to see if I could see if there were dust on the lens (there weren't) and then I noticed that the laser beam was visible when playing ordinary CD's (no, I DIDN'T stare directly into the beam ;) ).
So I rigged up my video camera and filmed it, thinking that I could have use for the footage someday.
