After a long day of travel, discovering this beautifully designed lounge at Stadshotellet in Västerås felt like the perfect retreat. The rich colors, detailed rug, and ambient lighting create a cozy, modern Swedish atmosphere, pure relaxation after the journey home. It’s the kind of spot I never want to leave. The soft glow and twinkling Christmas tree make everything feel extra warm. Time to unwind.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame-Immaculée (Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception), also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral (name of the old church which was demolished in 1874), Monaco Cathedral (French: Cathédrale de Monaco), is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Monaco in Monaco-Ville, Monaco, where many of the Grimaldis were buried, including Grace Kelly and—more recently—Rainier III.

Hôpital Tenon

La construction de l'hôpital commence en 1870, sur les plans de l'architecte Marie-Étienne Billon, mais doit être interrompue pendant la guerre de 1870 puis la Commune de Paris. L'hôpital ouvre en 1878, sous le nom d'hôpital de Ménilmontant. Mais dès février 1879, lui est attribué le nom de Jacques Tenon, chirurgien du xviiie siècle qui en avait dessiné les principes de construction et d'organisation dans son « Mémoire des hôpitaux de Paris ».

L'hôpital Tenon voit naître, le 19 décembre 1915, la chanteuse Édith Piaf. Joseph Pleigneur, dit Manda, poignarde Leca sortant de Tenon avec Amélie Hélie, dite Casque d'or, ce qui inspira un film à Jacques Becker. L'anarchiste ukrainien Nestor Makhno y décède le 25 juillet 1934.

Un service de traitement par le radium est inauguré ici le 20 novembre 1922. L’hôpital réussit la première fécondation in vitro aboutissant à la naissance de triplés, le 4 janvier 1985.

Für das Rathaus in Offenbach wurden 13.000 Kubikmeter Beton und mehr als 1.300 Tonnen Stahl zu einer Nutzfläche von 12.000 Quadratmetern verbaut. Gestaltet wurde das Rathaus von den Architekten Maier, Graf, Speidel und Schanty. Vor 50 Jahren feierte die Stadt die Einweihung.

Stepping into the entrance hall of the KMSKA feels a bit like walking into a story. The glass ceiling gathers the pale winter light and lets it spill softly over the marble and gold. Paintings watch quietly from their gilded frames. Below them, the festive wreaths and the glowing tree add a gentle warmth. It’s a space that is simply impressive.

beneath the soaring dome of light and steel, a man walks toward the flag — silent, solitary, framed by reflections that bend the space around him. here, architecture becomes symbol, and a fleeting step echoes like a question left unanswered.

The Rideau Street Convent Chapel was a Gothic Revival chapel that formed part of the Convent of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart on Rideau Street in Ottawa, Canada ...

Designed by Georges Bouillon in 1887-88.

Saved from the wrecking ball it was dismantled in 1972 and rebuilt inside the National Gallery of Canada in order to preserve its unique architecture.
