heather dubbeldam and tania ursomarzo's "offset"

This is an interior design strategy for Bath Time shops inspired by the way a chameleon camouflages itself. The light in the interior changes gradually to reflect the time of day, despite being untouched by the sun´s rays . Cool mornings, warm evenings.

Accessories really finish a space.

I was so twitter-pated by this unbelievably gorgeous table that bestie wanted to gay marry, I nearly forgot to get the maker's name. Happily, when I did a search for "unbelievably smooth and spectacular table on which no one can ever eat colored food or drink red wine," it came right up. www.palosamko.com

Here is the almost finished kitchen, we recently added walnut all around the interior of the cabinets and above the hood.

I designed the kitchen, sourced the marble and wrapped the inexpensive IKEA island cabinets with walnut to elevate the look.

Toaster and microwave are hidden on the interior of the island.

Espresso machine is hidden in pull out pantry drawer.

The right side of the kitchen features custom walnut doors which hide a washer dryer and lots of upper storage.

We still need to install the recycled pendants by Brooklyn designer Rogan, install walnut around the hood and add the silver trunk to the hood. And get a better pot for that orchid!

Upon entering the foyer, one is greeted by the mirrors which gives an illusion of space & brightness.

The timber panels where the Balinese girl welcomes you also hides a shoe cabinet, and the seat is of course placed there to enable one to put on their shoes easily.

A closer look at my floor plan. Anyone who's seen the originals will know the changes I made to the second entry, hallway and set of stairs to the second floor. (I eliminated some walls and left columns, in case of need for support. Also adds a sense of grandeur.) I also converted the dining room to a kitchen, and moved the dining room into the sitting room. I closed the wall between the library and coatroom. Also, I hadn't finished shading in the walls, thus why some are black and some are not.

This is the cardboard study model I made of the living cube, the design of which went through another change before I made the larger half-scale model. (The final has two, larger skylights, the position of the pop-up roof changed, and the two large ovals went away.

purchased this old hospital cart from CHKD thrift in williamsburg, varnished it to prevent further rust. hexagon glass display cases from goodwill.

The back of the house. My inspirations were Richard Meier, Moshe Safdie, Alvar Aalto and ancient Greek temples.

Back to back silk damask custom sofas are separated by a Chinese altar table supporting a pair of Han Dynasty lamps from Ed Hardy San FFrancisco antiques. The silver plate urn is from Gumps. The long bullion fringe with tassels is from Kenneth Meyer.
