TWI’s CrystalTM software makes ultrasonic inspection of industrial structures using Full-Matrix Capture (FMC), Virtual Source Aperture (VSA) and Plane Wave Imaging (PWI) easy.
The fully automated software delivers an intuitive interface for ultrasonic inspection techniques with high defect detection and sizing accuracy capabilities and real time inspection via planar or complex geometry structures.
These capabilities mean that Crystal can be integrated into in-service and production environments within industries including nuclear, defence, oil and gas, aerospace and rail.
Developments in computer hardware mean that real time implementation of total focusing method (TFM)-based algorithms such as full matrix capture, plane wave imaging and virtual source aperture are now possible. Each of these algorithms post processes the ultrasonic data to synthesise a PA focus spot at every pixel in an image, giving a fully focussed and easy-to-interpret image.
A range of inspection calibration settings and the ability to save and analyse data following inspection alongside a range of analysis and reporting tools makes the whole inspection and reporting task easier to complete.

Reparem no screenshot (tirado hoje), para consultar os meus consumos para o mês de Março eu tenho de alterar os valores de três selects: os dois relativos ao mês e o segundo relativo ao dia. Não seria mais lógico ter por default seleccionado o perÃodo temporal correspondente ao corrente mês?!

This weekend, Interface Diaries took two young women’s groups from the Shankill and Ardoyne in Belfast to Manchester.
The trip follows eight weeks of video diaries, group workshops, and community tours in which the girls have explored stereotypes and challenged prejudice.
During the weekend, the young people got a chance to explore the cultures of the Afro-Carribean, Somalian communities residing in the Moss Side area of
Manchester.
The young women got to explore 42nd Street, which supports young people under stress.
Our Driver and Main Man in Manchester City Pete Thompson took us to Manchester City Football Clubs Platt Lane. Where the young women played football, and learned how to dance like Lady Ga Ga.

While visiting different community groups, and doing various activities, the group continued to build on the friendships that started in November when they began Interface Diaries.
Everyone had a great time on this trip, and it would not have been possible without the support of Belfast City Council Funding.
The young women who attended did a great job engaging, working together and making it an enjoyable residential.

i put some soft fusable interfacing on the back so that the fabric would drape more like a woven material. the knit likes to hang unflatteringly, like a stretched-out t-shirt, prone to bunching around my waist.
i'm not entirely certain how well this will hold up after i have been wearing the bodice for a while. i've worn it around my house to be sure it doesn't sag weirdly where the knit seams meet the interfacing, at the side shown here.
Artist statement on Interface:
"My aim is to create the interface between the ocean and man. The ocean is turning back the iron road as its force cannot be controlled."
This angle isnt the best one to display the way the rail track curves up at the end. It does however show what a kid-magnet the track was.
The interaction between nature and man-made materials often causes some interesting results. Here the barnacled and algaed pier pilings are only aesthetically impacted (not structurally). At high tide, one would never know the difference, but low tide affords many other perspectives oft unseen and unappreciated. The transitions and the interfaces provide a solid foundation for the first day of the new year. :) Naples Pier, Naples, FL

this is one of those things, with machine embroidery, that takes forever - and nobody tells you about.
i interfaced the back of the velvet with lightweight fusable, so those lumps will be ironed out. i use sticky hoop-stabilizer which is the best for precision... but its really a pain to pluck off some fabrics.

Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex is an all purpose, woven, fusible interfacing. It provides crisp support for collars, cuffs, yokes, pockets, facings, and other detail areas of a garment. It can also add body and permanent stability when used as a backing for needlework and punch embroidery. Shape-Flex is intended for light to medium woven and knit fabrics, including oxford cloth, chambray, gingham, madras, tattersall, pincord, flannel, and polyester/cotton blends. To pre-shrink, fill a sink with warm water. Place interfacing in water for about ten minutes. Do not put in washer or dryer by itself or you may loosen the adhesive. Gentle squeeze out excess water and allow to dry.
