A significant building in Slavonski Brod on the banks of the Sava. It was collapsing for years, but in the last couple of years, reconstruction has begun. On the left is the restored part, and on the right is the condition as it was found and has yet to be restored. There is a lot of work, but the result of what has been done so far is astonishing. Most people know that Tulips grow from a bulb and most tulip bulbs only produce one flower on a stem. Tulips only bloom for 3 to 7 days in spring but the freshly cut tulips flowers will continue to grow in your vase to gain about another inch in height. When the bulb has finished flowering, the flower and leaves wither, but its important not to cut these off as the nutrients in the leaves and flower go back into the bulb which then lays dormant until the following spring when they start to show signs of life again. An interesting fact is that the variegated Tulips originally started to appear because of a viral disease which was transferred to the bulbs by aphids many years ago.

Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu plays to his fans at the 3 Arena while cruise ship AIDAaura conducts its own tour of the Capital at the weekend.
Both André Rieu & AIDAaura were touring the city on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th, both revisiting after a long absence of concerts & cruises caused by the Covid pandemic, thankfully all returning to normal in 2022. The concerts had originally been part of his 2020 tour.
Cruises ships visiting Dublin in 2022 are currently only given cruise 18 berth along the East Link toll bridge due to port works, or outbased at Dun Laoighare, AIDAaura is the largest ship this year so far & what a beauty with its amazing graphics.
AIDAaura had come down from Belfast & continued on from Dublin to Portree in Scotland.
André Rieu had flown in with his orchestra on private KlasJet Boeing 737-500 LY-FLT before returning to his native Maastricht, The Netherlands before more Wembley dates.

Trilobites (meaning three lobes) are a fossil group of extinct marine arthropods from the class Trilobita. They flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic era before beginning a drawn-out decline to extinction during the Devonian period. All Trilobite orders except Proetida died out at this time. Trilobites finally disappeared completely due to a mass extinction event at the end of the Permian period (about 250 million years ago). Trilobites were among the most successful of all early life on Earth, roaming the oceans for over 270 million years.

Interesting Facts about Strawberries
In actuality strawberry is not a fruit but only an enlarged receptacle of the flower of the plant in which strawberries grow.
In the 13th century, strawberry was known more for its medicinal value than as a delicious fruit to be consumed. Strawberries were widely cultivated in ancient Rome to be used in various medicines prepared by them to treat diseases like skin discoloration and digestive disorders. Belgium even maintains an exclusive strawberry museum to enlighten people more about the use and medicinal value of this fruit that belongs to the rose family.
Attempts to produce new hybrid varieties of strawberry were started in the world as early as in 1700. The experiments made by the French scientists to create a new breed of strawberry by crossing the strawberries brought from North America with the varieties from Chile became a success in 1700s. It is a scientifically proven fact that strawberry has more nutritional value than many other fruits that we consume. It contains 20% RDA of folic acid in a single serving. This water-dissolvable vitamin that is found in large amounts in strawberries is known for its ability to reduce birth defects involving various nerves and brain disorders.

Did you know that Balsa can grow from eight to ten feet tall in six months? Native to Central & South America, the Balsa tree is sometimes referred to as a "nursing tree". When the Balsa propagates, it does so like a dandelion, releasing thousands of tiny little flying seeds. These seeds travel great distances, and find their way in to the damp ground. There they'll lie, sometimes for years at a time, until the ground is heated, either by sun or occasionally by fire. At this time, they'll grow at an amazing rate, and with giant leaves that provide an immediate shade to the ground below, allowing more delicate growth the chance to thrive without being torched by the sun. By the time the growth beneath the Balsa has secured its place in the jungle, the Balsa is ready to die.
