KLASSE APART ..
Aan de voet van de Utrechtse Heuvelrug ligt het laatste volledig intact gebleven tuindorp van Nederland: Maarn. Een uniek dorp met een bijzonder gezicht. Tuindorp Maarn werd in 1921 gebouwd voor de arbeiders die werkten aan de zandafgraving van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen. De huizen zelf waren relatief klein maar ze hebben stuk voor stuk wel een enorme tuin. De gedachte daarachter was dat de arbeiders met hun karige loon, zelf groenten moesten kunnen verbouwen.
Tot 2006 was Maarn een zelfstandige gemeente waar ook het naastgelegen Maarsbergen onder viel. Nu hoort het bij de gemeente Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Het rustige, bosrijke dorp heeft een kleine 5000 inwoners en is uitstekend bereikbaar via de nabijgelegen A12 en het NS-station Maarn. Daarmee biedt deze fraaie omgeving het beste van twee werelden: je woont er in een kalmerende harmonie maar bent als je wilt binnen een kwartier met de trein in het bruisende oude centrum van studentenstad Utrecht, waar je kunt genieten van een gezellig drankje en hapje aan een van de fraaie grachten.
In de omgeving van deze, allesbehalve kleine, twee-onder-een-kap woning aan de groene Tuindorpweg vind je onder andere diverse winkels, sportverenigingen (tennis, voetbal, hockey), basisscholen en een kinderdagverblijf. Ook golfclub Anderstein in Maarsbergen en het heerlijke strand bij het Henschotermeer zijn goed met de fiets of zelfs lopend te bereiken.
Via de stijlvolle elektronische toegangspoort met intercom die zich met afstandsbediening laat openen, rijd je het terrein op van deze perfect afgewerkte woning. Wordt er een pakketje bezorgd, maar ben je niet thuis? Geen probleem, je kan via je mobiel de intercom gebruiken en vervolgens het hek openen. De brede oprit loopt langs een uniek vormgegeven biologische groentetuin met eigen bewateringssysteem. Zodra het donker invalt wordt de tuinverlichting via sensor geactiveerd. Het biedt een sprookjesachtige aanblik.
Wanneer je deze riante en instapklare woning via de voordeur binnengaat kom je in de hal waar zich behalve het toilet en de garderobe, ook een provisieruimte bevindt. Deze is gesitueerd onder de trap.
De basis van de living wordt gevormd door een sfeervolle en lichte erker, karakteristieke houten vloerdelen, een mooie schouw met open haard en openslaande deuren naar de op het zuiden gelegen royale achtertuin.
Ook in de ruime woonkeuken is er een haard. Een gashaard. Beide haarden zijn gemaakt met originele, antieke IJsselsteentjes en geven de ruimte behalve warmte ook een behaaglijke knusheid.
In de moderne kookruimte ligt een praktische en verwarmde natuurstenen vloer. De lichte keuken is opgesteld in U-vorm met onder andere een antracietgrijze hardstenen aanrecht, een Boretti gaskooktoestel met twee ovens, een Siemens koffiezetapparaat, een combi magnetron, koelkast en vaatwasser. De naastgelegen bijkeuken biedt ideaal veel bergruimte.
Deze uitgebouwde en uiterst sfeervolle woning is goed geïsoleerd, voorzien van dubbel glas en zeer fraai met luxe materialen gemoderniseerd. Alle muren en plafonds zijn strak gestuukt en elke radiator is voorzien van een ombouw.
Op de eerste verdieping biedt een overloop toegang tot drie ruime slaapkamers met vaste kledingkasten, waarvan één met balkon, en twee stijlvolle badkamers. De master bedroom heeft een dakkapel en een eigen badkamer met ligbad en vaste wastafelmeubel. De tweede badkamer is ingericht met een douche, tweede toilet en een vaste wastafel.
De bovenste etage tenslotte heeft een overloop waar zich de wasmachineaansluiting bevindt. Ook de Cv-installatie is hier gesitueerd. En dan is er nog een zolderkamer met heerlijk veel bergruimte voor zaken die je niet dagelijks nodig hebt, zoals de kerst- of wintersportspullen.

Servants Quarters (Second Floor) - an early intercom type system connecting the Servants Quarters with the kitchen and the master bedroom in the mansion. It is located on the wall between two of the rooms that the servants used (the other room was not open for viewing). The Servants Quarters were located in the back of the house on a slightly lower level off the second floor hallway.

Fitting HID lights to you motorbike or car greatly increases your visibility during the day as much as it allows you to see better at night. HID lights for motorcycles draw less power than your original bulbs so for example a 55 Watt HID light replacing the standard 55 Watt filament bulb with only draw 35 Watts from your alternator making you alternator work less. On top of this Motorbike HID lights are 300% brighter than normal lights. Here at www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk we use 6000 Kelvin bulbs with an array of fitments including but not limited to:- H1, H3, H7, and H11.
Motorcycle HID lights come in two parts the bulb and the ballast with starter. The bulbs are easy to fit and we have yet to find a bike that we have not been able to fit the kits too! The normal lighting systems of motorbikes is shockingly poor and HID lights add a considerable visual presence to your bike! We have found that HID’s it greatly reduce car drivers pulling out on you on those all too often lane changes where they appear not to have even noticed your there! Bulbs last longer as there is no filament to break and changing both Dip beam and Main is recommended as the HID’s are so good it tends to render your normal Main beam useless! Installation time for a main and dip beam is 1 and half hours approx!
This was in one of the mansions we toured last week. The home was built in 1911. This was in the kitchen and there were similar panels in other rooms of the house, but this is the only one that still has the receiver attached.
Last night, our new Wireless Intercom System Bolero was deployed at the „Deutscher Radiopreis“ in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Our partner NDR used a total of 5 antennas and 16 beltpacks to cover the auditorium, backstage area, and foyer.
Audio Video Master Station - The AX-8MV is an audio video master station for the AX Series. The unit is CAT-5e homerun wired to it's CEU and features a 3 -1/2" TFT monitor, an oversized TALK button to activate the VOX or PTT style communication, door call-in indicator, call button for other master stations in the system, a call tone volume control and a button for door release. The AX-8MV can communicate to 8 masters and 8 door stations. Add-on selectors (AX-16SW) can be added to increase the number of doors to maximum 120.
Pretty much everytime I've walked by this doorway, there has been an alarm going off.
