This was my first time to set my alarm clock to 4:50 AM on a sunday morning. I really wanted to take a picutre of this beautiful place on sunrise. As it turned out, I wasn't the only one with this intention. About ten other photographers were already there :-)
Here I met Eric Jacob (ej foto) who is also an Olympus photographer! Thank you for the nice conversation and the exchange of knowledge. Hope to hear more from you soon.
I made a lot of photos this morning. This one is made of a set of HDR photos, stitched together to a panorama. Hope you like it!

I took this shot back in 2015 while visiting the medieval town of Elburg in the Netherlands. After work, I would explore the town with my camera and always found cats sitting in the windows, watching the world go by. I posted this back in 2015 but wanted a composition that had a bit more negative space to show off the curtains.
I'm not sure why this "kitty" had such a face but since it is Thanksgiving I came up with the following, please feel free to come up with your own explanation.
Come to find out the Dutch have a rich history with the pilgrims that came to America especially in the town of Leiden. Since it is Thanksgiving, one might imagine that this cat was promised the heart and gizzard and had no intention of sharing them with me. A stare down ensued because I always eat the giblets.

J'étais partie avec l'intention de photographier des oiseaux et finalement je suis encore revenue avec des anémones. L'objectif n'était pas franchement adapté mais il a fait le boulot quand même.
I intended to shoot birds but I ended shooting flowers again. This lens wasn't fit for this at all but it did the job all the same.

The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.

I went up to the Bristlecones with the intention of getting this shot. Well, so did a few others. I first met Lisa and Jeff, and then another group of photographers wandered in. It was great, though, got lots of good advice and perfect light painting.To top it off a spectacular meteor streaked across the sky during an exposure to all of us "oohing and ahhing".

Got for Christmas 24 color pencils from Faber-Castell. But not for arts, decoration or coloring, nor for painting. The intention, inspired by some other photos do create some nice macros.
This photo was created for the Flickr group Macro Mondays, the theme is New, something that is new for me or represents hope for the new year.
Can’t say Macro photography is new for me, at the moment I own 3 Macro lenses, on from Canon a 100 mm, one from Tamron a 180 mm and the newest one from Fuji a 80 mm. However buying pencil for the purpose of photographing them is new, even better the were a gift. So, I am full of hope and looking forward to create some nice macros and other photos with the new pencils
For starters a series of 3 photos mostly of different shades of red and blue and one BW. Back. As underground some kitchens cutting board or chopping board to get some more texture. Light is simple, sun and for getting less dark shadows a mirror behind. Or even double shadows from the sun and the mirror.
Feel free to leave comments and constructive feedback. No P1/C1 or seen in group and similar.

My intention not to post so many seascapes has gone by the wayside. I just can't resist going to the beach as I live so close! This was a lovely evening at Caswell Bay and just managed to get the sun in between a large bank of cloud and the horizon
The intention was to see how Google would "read" it.
The only feedback was "shadow".
That was a bit disappointing, so I trust you guys to see more in this than any current A.I. :-)

„... Meine Intention hinter dieser Serie? Mein Gefühl zu vermitteln, mich in diesen Momenten selbst wie eine Nebelschwade gefühlt zu haben. Die unter dieser Brücke hindurch treibt. Zwar langsam, aber doch stetig. Ohne auch nur einen Augenblick zu verweilen. Die Eigenheit des Nebels beeinflusst dabei nicht nur die sichtbare Umgebung, sondern auch meine unsichtbaren Emotionen. Es gibt zu diesem Zeitpunkt keinen unbeteiligten Betrachter, sondern nur einen beeindruckten Beteiligten. Die Interaktion, diese Wechselwirkung zwischen mir als Betrachter und der Brücke als Betrachtetem erfolgte dabei nicht wirklich zufällig. Ich war schon oft hier, habe diese Brücke auch schon einmal gezeigt. Der Herbstnebel war damals die fehlende Requisite. In einem meiner Moleskine hatte ich das Drehbuch grob skizziert. Mit Platz für die nötige Improvisation, planbar sind Fotografien für mich nur sehr selten. Ich nehme mir oft vor, auf Grund von bestimmten Einflüssen an bestimmten Tagen bestimmte Orte aufzusuchen. Manchmal weiß ich sogar schon im Vorfeld, welche Standpunkte ich gerne wählen würde. Aber dann sind die Dinge oft anders, als gedacht... Ob ich zufrieden bin mit dem Ergebnis? Ja. Dabei geht es mir weniger um die 'technische' Qualität eines Fotos. Mir alleine muss die Aufnahme etwas sagen, das genügt mir. Jedes meiner Fotos ist ein weiterer wortloser Satz in meinem virtuellen Tagebuch. In dem es so oft über mich und meinen stummen Dialog mit meiner Heimat geht. Darüber, wie ich mich den Tagen und Nächten stelle und meine Emotionen von den Orten beeinflussen lasse, die ich immer und immer wieder aufsuche. Perfektion ist nicht mein Antrieb. Mir ist nur wichtig, dass der Dialog zwischen mir und den Räumen um mich herum nie verstummt...“
Dogger - Too long
The intention was to stay local this weekend, but having done the DIY job I was dreading (I hate drilling holes in my house), I thought a reward was in order 😁
The forecast was that the cloud would be breaking up at around 4pm, and my plan was to walk the first 14ish miles veeery slooowly, and reach my last hill at around that time. Can you believe it? It worked perfectly! No idea where the 3 and a bit hours went on that final hill 😳

Some factions of Tibetan Buddhism, The most controversial is the men and women double repair, This is illegal in some countries, Destruction of family system and morality. I heard that men and women double repair, Is an effective method, The point is, it is not the only way. I believe that most religions are beneficial.

Dr Andrew Orr obtained the following information on the Sea Plane which was a Type MF11, register number 346, used by the Norwegian Navy Air Branch. Between 9th April and 7th June, 1940, Norway was at war with Germany and this plane was on operations when it became separated from its squadron at Eidford Voss and ended up in Stonehaven. The pilot was Stein Gustavvson Abildso and the plane touched down in Stonehaven Bay on or about 25th April 1940. This was witnessed by local boy Sam Jolly, who saw it taxi-ing up on to the beach, before it was towed back to the harbour. It stayed only very briefly in Stonehaven before flying on to Helensburgh. In June 1940, a Lieutenant Torstein Diesen, who wanted to continue to fight against the Germans, flew the plane to Finland where it later fell into German hands."
Some further details have come to light courtesy of Alan Stewart of the British Resistance Archive:
"F346, the number of the plane actually arrived on the 25th of April 1940 at Peterhead Harbour a few weeks earlier. It flew from Norway and is detailed in the Press and Journal on 27th of April 1940. The crew members that arrived were Olav Johansen, Stein Abildso and Johannas Storlid. Their photo is in the Press and Journal on the 27th April 1940
The event is also captured in the Peterhead War Diary for the Naval Commander at Peterhead Harbour.
The aircraft never actually fell into German hands, it was flown to Norway and suffered enemy damage before being repaired and flown to Finland since Norway surrendered on 10th of June 1940, where the aircraft flew to Finland. With the intention of having a flight training school there, it didn’t work out so the planes were used by Finland in the war with Russia. The aircraft remained in service until 1948, but chopped up in 1950 as nobody wanted them."
Last weekend Filou disappeared from the garden for the first time. Before that he had never shown any intention to explore the world beyond the fence and given the fact that he is a scaredy cat, we all thought that he was safer at home. When he suddenly disappeared my sister panicked and we all had to go and look for Filou. That was hopeless as it was dark and there are lots of possibilities for a cat to hide out there. You can't go into other people's backyards in the middle of the night to seach for your cat. Filou returned home the next morning. He was wet and tired but not extremely nervous. I really thought that after this episode he would try to see more of the world outside his garden asap but so far he has made no new effort to climb over the fence.

It was always my intention when I made Ji-Woon for our RP sim, for there to be at least a four man band. Ji-Woon has a bit of a tragic past, so he had left his band (named No Bounds). He moved to America, and now the other members are slowly making their own way to the USA to be with him. So here is member number 2! Lee Chanyeol. Or Channie as Ji-Woon lovingly calls him. The other two members are still on their way. Yes they're holding hands, and if you have ever seen any SKZ video you will understand the vibe we are going for with the band. LOL SKZ is also the music claim for No Bounds.
**This is by no means a grid wide thing, I don't know the first thing about being a real thing on SL, this is purely for roleplay purposes only.**
I never thought I would upload these photos, this is what I call incidental work, it was never my intention to photograph these rocks, the main subject was 180° the other way, but the clouds, and the underwater clarity made me stop.
The Dragon was sitting on a chair under the garden table here and watching what was going on in the garden. Some blackbirds were looking for worms on the lawn and the Dragon found them very entertaining. He rarely chases them and if he does it's usually rather with the intention to see them flying off than to really catch them.
I had the intention to buy a 1.4 35 mm lens for this type of lens has such a beautiful short DOF at F1.4 and the 35 is a little wider as a 50mm which I own.
After searching on the internet I realised that I also own a Sony Wide conversion Lens VCL-HGD0758. Together with the Canon FD standard lens maybe this could do the trick on my Sony A7R.
Well as you can see this set isn't high quality when focus is set on infinity but it has a remarkable vintage distortion and I think that nice for this kind of photography.
Later on I will show you a macro shot of this experimental set and I hope you like it too :-)

Intention was to keep the orange bold but nondescript so the color of the stamens drew the attention.
Maybe just as a gift, something we can do without thinking about making money… (Oh!)
Or perhaps as something that will occupy our restless and sometimes twisted minds so we don‘t have to think of creative ways to hurt each other... (Oh!)
Or as a means to express, accept and finally celebrate ourselves as individuals, rather than having to one-up our minds by creating something which seems destined to be our ultimate demise? (Well…)
Whatever the intention was, seems like quite a bungled plan, don’t you think?

My main intention was to take the Sri Wawasan bridge at sunset but when I turned around to look at the mosque, I said WOW! The blue hour effect was superb! I purposely composed this shot with the pontoon jetty to show depth.

Pour l'éclipse j'avais l'intention de faire des photos autour du Troccadero...Malheureusement, la météo n'a pas été très sympa...Donc en attendant, j'ai pris cette petite macro;)Le reflet de la tour Eiffel dans une gouttelettes.J'ai déjà fait ça de chez moi mais quand on est pile en face, le résultat est beaucoup plus impressionant ;) Bref, pas d'éclipse mais je reviens avec cette petite goutte de tour Eiffel;)
So, I wanted to take some pictures of the solar eclipse from the Troccadero in front of the Eiffel tower.Unfortunatly the weather was not good...For waiting I took the reflection of the Eiffel tower inside a drop of water.
So, no solar eclipse but a funny very little Eiffel tower;)
On Wednesday evenings I often get together with a friend with the intention of learning to sing and play guitars together.
He's on holiday this week and I'm not envious at all ... not one single bit .... well maybe just a little bit.
Well anyway, Tony, if you're reading this, which you almost certainly won't be because you're probably eating donuts and having way too much fun, but if by chance you are then practise, practise, PRACTISE !!!
The intention was to spend the night on Llanddwyn and return the following morning.
Pre sunset it wasn't looking great with high grey cloud but I decided to stick it out as the weather app said there would be a gap.
Everyone else had left and I slowly set up whilst watching in awe at one of the best sunsets I've seen this year, silently congratulating myself for staying.
I'd had my tin of chilli and boil in the bag rice and way too much coffee and carried on shooting until the break in the cloud had gone and the forecast low cloud moved in. The wind had started to pick up also and as dusk turned to dark and the temp plummeted I decided my 2 season sleeping bag wouldn't be enough to keep me warm through the night. I also didn't fancy packing up in the wind and rain that was forecast so reluctantly packed up in what little light was left.
I made the walk back to the bus shelter and suddenly realised why all the others had left before sunset. The tide was too far in and it was still another hour before high tide. Two and half hours later and it was safe to make the walk back along Newborough beach with the wind picking up all the time and thick black clouds being illuminated by the full moon.
10/10 for boy scout prep, 0/10 for not reading the tides!
My intention was take a bike trip up to Loch Callater, but as it started snowing when I arrived with very cloud I decided it wasn't a good idea so just got some shots of Callater Water instead.

The intention of the Catalan and Spanish Government to expand Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat airport is generating considerable controversy and is found on all media fronts and in all circles of opinion nowadays. The point is that the expansion would put at risk the reedbeds and the wetlands of La Ricarda, which are part of the natural area of Llobregat river delta, an ecosystem inhabited by diverse animal species.

Fuji X-E1 is my only camera where I am able to push to ISO 6400 and get at least interesting shot. The noise looks more like a grain - that's true what people say about x-trans I ;)
While my intention that night was to shoot Q116, which I did and was thrilled with the results, I decided to wait a little longer for Q148 and its classic Canadian cab Dash-9 leader. Like the barns, many of these are stored or not able to lead in the US thanks to them being passed on having PTC installed.
