A large resident owl around 50 cms tall often sighted in thick canopy cover and near a water body. The Owl is endemic to India and due to the Mottled body colors, is hard to spot without a call. It is known as a strong predator and is a true Nocturnal Owl unlike several others which are mostly twilight / crepuscular.
It was quite by chance that we came across the bird perched on a lovely tree. The day was very cloudy and that maybe the reason why the Owl was seen so late! It watched us for a while and moved to another nearby tree where it spent some more time. Unfortunately, there was not much of a view in the other tree, but we could see it looking around. After a while, it flew back to its home tree.

La bruma que producen las olas se mezcla con la luz del un sol de escasa fuerza luminosa. La cosa no da para mas. Otra vez será el paseo playero.
Es el tiempo junto al Mar Cantábrico. Ayer salió el sol a ratos. Pero hoy otra vez llueve como si no lo hubiera hecho nunca. Cosas del clima.

Juvenile Tri-Colored Heron

On the southeastern coastal plain, the Tricolored Heron is a characteristic bird of quiet shallow waters. Strikingly slender, with long bill, neck, and legs, it is often seen wading belly-deep in coastal lagoons. Although it is solitary in its feeding, it is sociable in nesting, often in very large colonies with various other herons and egrets. Formerly known as Louisiana Heron.
El 22 de septiembre de 2019 tuvo lugar en el Puig de Santa María su 2ª Concentración de Coches Clásicos.
Y allí estuvimos. La mayoría de coches en una explanada, unos al lado de los otros, gente por todos los lados y siendo un día soleado, bastantes reflejos de luz sobre los vehículos.
Aún así, intentamos obtener la imagen de algún vehículo bonito o interesante.

On September 22, 2019, took place in Puig de Santa María its 2nd Classic Car Concentration.
And there we were. The majority of cars in an esplanade, next to each other, people from all sides and being a sunny day, many light reflections on the vehicles.
Even so, we try to get the image of some beautiful or interesting vehicle.

Adult falcons have thin, tapered wings, which enable them to fly at high speed and change direction rapidly. Fledgling falcons, in their first year of flying, have longer flight feathers, which make their configuration more like that of a general-purpose bird such as a broad-wing.
This makes flying easier while learning the exceptional skills required to be effective hunters as adults

I have been to Lower Lewis Falls in Washington before. I went there with the express intent of taking a different image, something new and exciting. Well, when I got there the sky was yuk, there were people everywhere and there was just nothing exciting for me to use to my advantage. No usable atmospheric elements. So I set out to do what I usually do in that case, make lemonade out of lemons. So when you have no tools at your disposal, you have to get creative with something. In this case, I tried to go crazy on the perspective, the composition. I used the 6D flippy screen to my full advantage and backed the tripod into a recess as far as I could. I waited for the scene to clear a little (though I left some people for size establishment), and let the brackets fly. I am happy with the image, but I have shot something similar to this before. So after I finished my long laborious workflow in post, I went back to see what this looked like compared to the one I shot last time. Uhm...It was almost identical. Gr. Well, I posted it anyway to show how one can learn and evolve, after all, this one was better than my previous attempt. However, I think the real reason I posted it is because I was not about to waste the hour I spent in post.

This Eurasian Coot was moving with some intent across the lake to see off some intruders on its territory. It had a real look of menace in the eye, yet a slight smile on the face!

Male otter setting back out in search of further prey.
One of my favourite wildlife sightings has to be the gorgeous otter. On a cold wet January morning this little chap brightened up our day.
We were lucky enough to be entertained by him for over an hour as he made his way through the local fish population.

This American Crow was so concentrated on something in the marsh that he did not notice me approaching very closely. When he finally noticed me, he hopped a couple of times further away, and continued his surveillance of the marsh.
His eyes must have been better than my old eyes because I saw nothing that might have commanded his intent gaze (If I did see it, I would have photographed THAT! LoL).

In the pre-dawn a moose cow and her calf watch me intently, one naïve with curiosity, the other full of mistrust and protective hormones. This is not the greatest quality, but I loved the body language of these two, and the early fall colors that backed their appearance. I spent several hours removing the lines of a net that keeps errant volleyballs from running downhill from this court. A bull moose, possibly the calf’s father, was munching on aspen leaves down the hill from these two. The previous day these 3 and a 4th moose (cow) spent significant time on the volleyball court, evidently enjoying several games before I stopped by to see what was going on.

A Northern Gannet Soars over the North Sea off the coast of Scotland. He had lots of friends also flying around so I was happy to get just one in my frame.
A deckchair was my point of focus with the intent of placing it somewhere interesting asap. Did a search in the Pixabay app for Deck Chair and found the perfect png, then Landscapes and bingo there was the something interesting that suited my imagination very well.A masterpiece in its own right by KELLEPICS With the perfect scene, the deck chair fit very well. As usual that wasn’t enough for this Tman so I placed a few other images before I was satisfied and the image shown was achieved. The title was a favourite from the good old days. According to the current theme, group members were supposed to submit a photo related to the word 'click'. I took a photo of a lock for the metallic sounds it makes every time you close it. I tried to keep the composition as minimal as possible.

Mark this one down to identifiable Sandhill Crane behavior.
I had no end of delight showing this to others while at Creamer's Field during the autumn crane migration from Alaska to the lower 48. The behavior being exhibited by the crane to the left is "Intent to fly," that is, it is telling the others in its group that it wants to fly away and is pointing in the direction of flight. Note how the neck is more of a diagonal than the other two cranes. Less than two seconds after displaying this posture, the small group of cranes took to the air. There were a few times where the small group - sometimes just two - decided not to fly off. When the group agrees, they all assume this "leaning" posture and then fly off. When one in the group doesn't want to fly they don't change their posture, essentially saying, "Yeah, not right now."

Lucy intently watches me as I was preparing to work in the yard, seeing I always have my camera readily available, I photographed her with that " look " in her eye. She's such a pleasure to have around and I love that dog !!

A Green Heron watches intently for fish under the surface of the Duckweed. I watched this heron almost never miss on any strike; the Duckweed seems to pose no problem, and even the juvenile birds rarely missed. I wonder whether the layer of Duckweed serves as something of a 'blind' for the herons, shielding them from the fishes' view?
