It was a privilege to have breakfast with born1945 (Tom Brandt ~ on the right) on my Portland layover Saturday morning (June 5th). Tom and I are conspiring in this photo for the next Sudoku posting. Tom is a frequent contributor to my Sudoku puzzles.
Taken from the AI Neighborhood. All the departments in the building are organized into what Gehry calls "Neighborhoods". This concept is essentially many offices within a department organized around one large common space. However, the spaces are designed counter-intuitively so that you sort of get lost. Everyone has displays of what they're working on at their workspace and people that are lost are supposed to walk by your display, see what you are working on and hopefully realize that they are somehow able to solve your problem or use it to solve a problem they have, thus creating a catalyst for brilliant discoveries. Its amazing.

The 304th Military Intelligence Battalion held their second annual MI Warrior Competition on Warrior Field Feb. 21, 2019. Five person teams had to complete 102 reps of the straight-bar deadlift, 101 reps of the barbell military press, complete 304 meters of the farmer's carry with a hex bar, 304 meters of a burpee long jump and 1.11 mile run. Ce dessin "Le Chat" m'a ete montre hier dans le 20 Minutes de Lausanne et j'ai eclate de rire et surtout - exceptionnellement - je ne resiste pas a le publier sur ma page flickr !
