The instructors there are fast. Very fast. Luckily, we got fast enough by the second day that they had to move from the mini's to Elises for lead and follow sessions.

Workshop: Birdhouses From Recycled Materials
Date: Thursday, June 30 from 6-10pm

Participants will begin with a small wooden bird house approximately 5" tall. By adding a little paint and a lot of recycled aluminum (from soda cans), you will create a cheerful and totally unique piece of 3-D art. Each person will receive two blank wooden birdhouses. You should have plenty of time to finish one in class and, if you work fast, you could go home with two. You will start with graph paper and learn how to make a pattern for covering a 3-D object. Then Barb will also demonstrate how to fearlessly cut aluminum cans for your siding which will be attached with industrial glue. Acrylic paint will be used to color the roof and foundation.

The third version of Yucca is good enough for an inspection by a colleague, I guess, so I called Hack over to give it the once-over.
True to style, upon arrival he rezzed his fancy new hoverplane... So we flew in and around Yucca; taking the plane for a dip in the pool, testing out the flexi sculpture and discussing the merits of upside down planting, the transience and portability of virtual art and assorted other matters of concern.
As we proceeded back home to Klein we got orbed. I fell into the ocean and had to somehow stumble back via TP but Hack placed an emergency call to our friend and neighbor wolfgeng Hienrichs (search and rescue pilot extraordinaire) and consequently flew home in style...
