Im Folgefonna Nationalpark mit Norwegens drittgrößtem Gletscher. Nach einer abenteuerlichen Anfahrt erwartete uns dieser See mit Eis auf 845m über NN. Im Hintergrund die Gletscherzunge.

I have not had the best of luck with Fall in Arkansas. On our first year here, an early frost stole many trees of their foliage at the beginning of September. So Fall colors were lackluster at best. This time fall was a bit trickier; I kept an eye out for any early frost warning, and nothing showed up in my search. We made our first trip of the year to the Richland Creek Wilderness area and saw that fall colors were barely breaking through. In my naivety, I thought a week or so from now, we will have the perfect fall colors and planned a trip through Ozarks National Forest to the Talimena scenic drive in the Ouachita mountains. I am still not sure what happened, but almost all fall colors were gone by the time we went on the planned trip.

While on our earlier trip to Richland Creek, we came across this patch of the road with decent fall colors on both sides of the road. Usually, I would pass on a scene like this when I am driving, but something made me get out and take the image. It turns out this was the best fall colors photo I would take this fall. Well, at least it is improving each year.
