One of the hundreds of photos I've done and never posted. It was taken at the Palm Springs Gay Pride Festival last November.
After yesterday's Monumental decision by SCOTUS on Constitutional rights, I felt it was the right time to finally post it.
NEVER TOO YOUNG #48 ... While screening protocols mean that colon cancer diagnoses in the over 50s are decreasing, sadly young onset colon cancer is on the rise. The Colorectal Cancer Alliance's impactful #nevertooyoung campaign is focused on reducing the standard age for screening - currently 50 - by raising awareness of the growing number of women and men, myself included, who are being diagnosed under 50 with advanced stages of the disease. If you think I was too young to be diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer at 48, you should meet some of the amazing, heartbreaking, inspiring people in their twenties and thirties I have had the privilege to meet over the past 18 months. #nevertooyoung #tomorrowcantwait #colorectalcanceralliance

58 / 120. Inspire Your Heart With Art Day
I purchased this cross at the Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe in 2008 because I was taken with "crosses as art" when I lived there and I thought this one particularly lovely and unique. When my mother visited a few years later, she fell in love with it and I subsequently gave it to her. It now hangs in her bedroom, the palm fronds her annual addition from Palm Sunday mass. For her it is a religious icon ... it pleases me that she derives pleasure and comfort from it.
When my irises bloom I know winter is almost at an end which inspires me to get out in the garden & even without the eyes they make you smile.

This Honda Inspire is a very rare car from Japan over here. This is a model from the second generation of the Inspire built from 1995 until 1999. The car based on the Accord was sold in North America as Acura TL. Like that car it was built in Honda's plant in Ohio.
