This photo is to the memory of Dame Vera Lynn who sadly passed away today. She brought such hope and inspiration to millions with her emotive performances.

This wonderful leaping horse, Spirit of Inspiration, was created by Tony Evans (see links) in 2008 and was commissioned by Liverpools Community College ! It is a stunning work of art in its own right, dramatic and beautiful, but its genesis is significant too !
I know, another Rainier.... My last several hikes were concentric around the mountain because I knew that I was running out of time. I posted this one because of the wall though. You'll find them throughout the park and they are constructed unevenly on purpose so as to not draw attention to them by creating a straight line, they are further broken up by the random larger stones made to represent the volcano.
I watch a lot of Youtube..... :-)

The Memorial Chapel at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA, where my parents are buried.
The chapel was built in 1964.
