This is the McFarlane Alien 12" figure it came boxed and I got this off a Car Boot Sale off a dealer geezer selling cheap toys, this was amongst his stuff priced at only £8/$14 (Retails £50) He didn't know what he had obviously.
It lives in my kitchen!

Water abstract. In space no-one can hear you scream
No, not taken with the Hubble Telescope!
This is just some reflections in a bowl of water taken using the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens, the nearest thing I've got to Hubble! It does remind me of some far off galaxy! SOOC, slight crop.

Alien is a 1979 science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm and Yaphet Kotto. The film's title refers to its primary antagonist: a highly aggressive extraterrestrial creature that stalks and kills the crew of a spaceship.
The second of two semi-static posed figures is complete. This version depicts the creature as it appears in the deleted "crab-walker" scene from the 1979 film as Lambert and Parker make a desperate attempt to escape the Nostromo. This deleted scene however was thought comical by many, not well executed on film and revealed too much of the creature...reducing it to nothing more than a man in a rubber suit...something Ridley Scott was avoiding by using smoke and shadow.
Hand sculpted, hand painted. 1:18 scale. I borrowed resin cast parts from the original Alien figure I created a year earlier, made modifications to the torso, neck, shoulders
and legs.
When crouched or "crab walking", the figure is approx. 3" high from highest point on head to the feet. When standing, the figure is approx. 5.25" high, still not fully erect as the leg and hip joints limit the full motion (again, this was originally meant to be a static posed figure). Fortunately I was able to add several articulation points to the figure: Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Vacuum formed PETG dome is removable. The tail is static but is attached using a revoltech joint and can be switched out with a longer tail option.

Named by the planetary-explorer who originally found one on the planet Yar; no one knows exactly where these vessels originated from. Only one, if any others do exist, are seen at a given time, yet there is always someone different inside.
Functioning as a type of self sustaining prison, the victims of the machines wake up inside not knowing how they became trapped inside the capsule. A way to enter or exit these machines has not been discovered at this time, and no Ancient Records have been found that correspond with the device. No one is quite sure how long a victim lives inside the vessel, or what happens to the victim once they pass, but it's theorized a nutrient rich atmosphere in the machine can keep a person alive for many years, sentenced to float through the outer most reaches of space, having no control over the destination, or their sanity.
They have been encountered in various "black-space" areas where few beings are willing to travel, and also observed flying low over pedestrian walkways in major space ports and planetary cities. The prisoner trapped inside, silently screaming, while the populous below is unable to help them or stop the vessel.

This version depicts the creature as it appears in the deleted "crab-walker" scene from the 1979 film as Lambert and Parker make a desperate attempt to escape the Nostromo.
