Hope everyone's doing well out there. This spell of hot weather has denied me of any decent sleep and has found me in all sorts of places in the dead of night...
On this particular morning I ventured to Cuckmere in darkness and took a slow stroll down towards the beach. I didn't expect a heavy downpour of rain at the time, so that was a refreshing bonus.
I was hoping to get some pre-dawn colours on a withdrawing high tide, but that didn't happen, so I hung around anyway as there was a nice breeze and I had the beach all to myself.
This particular shot was taken shortly after sunrise only because the clouds began to part revealing some nice warm light. I like this side on view of Haven Brow, the largest of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs which stands proud at 253ft. Belle Tout lighthouse can also be seen in the far distance.
BTW, if you are thinking of visiting the area please be careful, there's some significant erosion at the end of the path just past the coastguard cottages, so you have to follow the alternative pathway to be able to safely access the beach.
