I really struggled with todays photo. Well, I shouldn't really say that, my original shot idea will have to be tomorrow, so I just had to scramble with today's shot idea. I used to love these plasma balls, actually, I still do...a bit hypnotic and somehow powerful. "Someday I shall rule the world!!! (insert evil villain laugh)", or "I command you plasma particles...come to my fingertips or I shall crush your spherical empire".

This shot was basically a long exposure but with a short burst of flash overhead to better light up my hands. The end.

This is one of a set I uploaded as inpiration from the Macro Mondays Group theme of "Black" for 2011-11-14.
