💀🔥 El patrón del pronoto de Pilinopyga ornatipennis es una de esas pareidolias imposibles de ignorar: una figura simétrica que recuerda a una calavera estilizada. Sus colores tampoco ayudan a pasar desapercibido: el contraste entre el negro profundo y el naranja brillante recuerda inevitablemente a Halloween ⚫, o a una advertencia natural, como si la evolución hubiera diseñado este símbolo para ser visto y temido.

💀🔥 The pronotum pattern of Pilinopyga ornatipennis is one of those pareidolia illusions you just can’t unsee: a symmetrical figure resembling a stylized skull. Its colors make it even more striking: the intense contrast between deep black and bright orange instantly evokes Halloween ⚫, or a natural warning, as if evolution had crafted this symbol to be seen and feared.
It’s impressive in hand—but under the microscope, it’s simply breathtaking.
