Erythromma lindenii, ♂♀ Goblet-marked Damselfly

A Mallow Skipper rests on a Asteraceae, its wings slightly drooping and abdomen raised in a characteristic posture. This unique behavior, often seen in skippers, is a natural stance that possibly helps the butterfly regulate its body temperature or deter predators. The contrast between the skipper's muted brown tones and the bright white and yellow of the (I think a daisy) creates a striking visual, highlighting the delicate interaction between the butterfly and the flower in its natural habitat.

Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera. They are among what is possibly the most ancient living group of chewing herbivorous insects, dating back to the early Triassic around 250 million years ago.
Grasshoppers are typically ground-dwelling insects with powerful hind legs which allow them to escape from threats by leaping vigorously. Their front leg is shorter and used for grasping food. As hemimetabolous insects, they do not undergo complete metamorphosis; they hatch from an egg into a nymph or "hopper" which undergoes five moults, becoming more similar to the adult insect at each developmental stage.
