Made it to the Upper Antelope Canyon in Page Arizona the other day. The upper slot canyon is A shaped and the lower canyon is V shaped. Next time through the area I'll try to visit the lower canyon.
The trip through the slot canyon was with a young Navajo guide, on the way out of the canyon, he behind our group of 12, began to play some beautiful wood flute song, a nice way to wrap up the hour long visit.
Special thanks to micke vmix for encouraging me to go here, and letting me know there was room to park the semi.

It was half a billion years in the making, two ancient continents collide, and the Earth's inner soul, the mantle, shows itself.
We hiked this trail under darks clouds, ran between raindrops, and stood in awe of the barren red landscape as the clouds gently rolled over the mountains. It was an unforgettable experience and watching these two take it all in made my heart happy.

Like music to my soul, the rain continued to pour,
Filling me up with a rhythmic excitement that I couldn't explain,
And then I saw you...
You walked gently along the puddles,
Adding more beats to the beautiful tune of the rain,
You looked carefree as you lifted your head up into the clouds,
Sharing a precious gift with the rain,
Your peaceful smile that melts my heart,
The rain managed to escape the shield of your umbrella,
Giving you small droplets of kisses,
Only because you allowed yourself to enjoy it,
That cold and yet comfortable warmth it somehow brought,
The way it covered your silent tears from the world,
But most of all, the way it allowed you to show your inner smile...
I smiled to myself, still watching you,
Secretly sharing in that moment,
Feeling lucky that I got a peek,
Thanks to the rain's majestic visit,
I got to see your inner smile...
