One of my new toys for storing ink swatches. The colors are CdA Storm, De Atramentis Aubergine/Giacomo Puccini and J Herbin Poussiere de Lune.

Coprinopsis atramentaria. New growth shortly after rain. Those just erupting from the forest litter are shaped like closed umbrellas. Erbhaven Trail, Wellesley, Waterloo Region, Ontario.

My art area has been cleared out from all the big crap that got flung in there while I was in the hospital and whatnot (that's what happens around here when you abandon your workspace) and so I have a wheelchair friendly space set up. My ancient wonderful drawing board has been adjusted down to a lower height to compensate for the wheelchair and I figure I'm about ready to tackle some serious inking.
I find myself reluctant to post my really rough page sketches, but we'll see if I can get up the courage a bit later to post some just so I have some record of the process for this project.
