I asked Mike for linoleum / rubber printing supplies for my 30th birthday. These inks are to supplement ;)
This was kind of a wild hair in that I decided to hand make a sketchbook in a continuous "star configuration," and carry it with me on my trip through Scotland. The idea then gradually evolved into a sort of single, continuous sketch: the entire journey can be "read" as one single document, sort of like Chinese brush paintings.

This is the first portrait I have done in a very long time, and I have a lot of practicing to do. The first time using copic in my moleskin, and they ran more then I am use to, so there was constant touching up, and finished up blotchy. Need to focus on ink control and shading.
Ink and watercolor sketch of August's collection of beans. Local folklore is that for every fog in August there will be a snow in winter. So we put a bean in a jar for each fog in August, and remove a bean each time it snows that winter. The count is always surprisingly close.
