Color Ink Book Is a black and white art periodical, which is published in limited quantities quarterly; showcasing the both, established artists as well as fresh faces. Each issue explodes with “rad art” ranging from low-brow, pop surrealist, avant garde, underground, graffiti, street, subversive as well as styles that have yet to be classified. The volumes are printed on 60 lb Endurance Vellum Offset Book paper, to offer the reader the option to color the work showcased within: thus bringing the art enthusiasts and artist together.

Ink Painting also known as Ink and Wash Painting is a traditional Chinese painting which dates back to 4000 B.C. It has developed continuously over a period of more than six thousand years.
This tangle is from my sketchbook. I have been playing around with it over the last week or so. This was truly a mediative process - not knowing what I was going to draw next. I started out with a curly tear drop that I saw at Starbucks and went from there.
After drawing it, I scanned it and added a soft drop shadow in Photo Shop. It does a much better job at shading than I can do. www.TangleTangleTangle.com

A pub at the very edge of Doncaster town centre. The modern brick wall marks where the vandals who controlled the town in the 1960s demolished vast swathes of the old town in the name of modernisation - fine old buildings, and the grounds of the parish church, were replaced by a dual carriageway and a shopping centre.

I made my own ink blending tools and they work great.
I used a 1.5 Inch W-X 3/4 inches H- X 6 feet long piece of wood . I cut it down to 1inch wide to 3/4 high by 1 3/4 in long pieces, then I took a dowel cut it into 2 in long pieces should have cut them shorter to 1.5 will fix that later. and the knob on top is a 1inch doll head you can get them in any craft store then added foam and Velcro to the bottom . I think the cost for each blending tool I made is about one dollar.
