Dramatic skies in Edgefield on our walk today. This is not our dog, Purple, for once. Her friend Ted the Weimaraner has worked out that Sophie has treats in her pockets.
There was another dog there too; one who was quite uninteresting to her co-worker: she border colleague.
And another dog who was a textile worker who fell into a freezing river: a cold-and-wet-weaver.
Not forgetting the dog who managed to locate his owner's knitting material he bought from Cork - Irish wool found.
I could do this all night. I might go on an elaborate tour...

Flickr Gets My Location Wrong.
I DO NOT live, I never have lived, and only once in my life did I take pictures, in a Mobile Home Park. That was when my cousin returned from the Army and went to Rutgers University in Trenton, New Jersey, under the GI Bill. Their student housing was in silver trailers. I thought it was pretty cool. However, it was not air-conditioned, so it got really hot in the summer months.
Since I am unable to fix this, I am trying to eliminate this map from appearing beneath my photos. Please let me know if you can still see this map beneath my photos.

I have officially joined the insane elite. Folks who will toss their $3K+ camera just to get shots like this. I must say it is a big improvement over the point and toss cam having all the noise reduction and far more control over the exposure. It is heavier too so the lens stays in the plane better... Finally got the strap untangled. Probably best to remove it before tossings.
Some fences are made to keep people in and other fences are made to keep people out. Thankfully, even the local city council can't c*ck this up. These two shots were taken from the same position, just turned around. One of them is round a children's play area and the other over the top of a wall which is over 20ft high one side and a lot less the other side.
Ok, I fell for the fence Friday theme inspired by my friend Arno.
Here's a thought, if a fence is infinitely long and you are standing next to it are you in or out? (Only Koop will be thinking about this one now, the rest will be clicking away)
I'm trying to decide which cameras I should take with me to Seattle in a couple weeks.
Yes, I spend weeks thinking about this stuff.
The cameras on the right are all for sure going with me, plus the pinhole on the bottom. I want to travel light. Should I just limit myself to those?
I'm thinking the Diana I for sure won't bring, since I'll have the Holga, and it's bulky enough. But what about the Canonet? I love it for street shots. But although it's small, it's heavier than a lot of my other cameras. The T4 is fun and I haven't used it for a long time, would be good for xpro or just regular slide film. The Ricoh FF-90 is a camera I love, it just feels so good in your hand. The fisheye will be fun to take pics of my nephews and nieces with. The Oktomat is one I haven't used enough, and my brother I'll be visiting got it for me, so it'd be fun to use. The flower cam I haven't used in a long time, and it's fun and small and light. The Sears/Ricoh 500G is kinda heavy, I don't know why I like it so much, but I always seem to want to use it.
Should I leave my Pen at home? I figured I'd bring the Agat 18 as a half frame camera, it's smaller and lighter. I've modified it to take overlapping exposures.
I always end up bringing way more than I ever use when I go on a trip, but that's OK. I like to be prepared. And there's like a billion other cameras I'm forgetting about...

Hi Guys - I need your help. Would you help me to pick out my best shot! The one you think is the best composition, the most interesting, the one that just totally stands out in the bunch. I've selected these 30 photos which were my favorite.
Opinions and contradictions are all welcome. It's my assignment right now and I don't have a clue which photo I should pick.
People, animals, travel, nature...
The whole sadness and the loneliness that bring inside it will go out sooner or later... among the indifference of the people that they surround us... making only even more it...
So here I sit at home on this Tuesday night looking at my pictures and my websites wanting to figure out how to redo my site. I want to create a better photoblog and update my other photo site as well. I find that I am reaching my technical limits and was wondering if there was anyone here who knows where i can set up a good photoblog or how to do it? where do i go for someone to help with movabletype or some such program?
I don't like to be told what to do.
I don't like to be told no.
I don't like to be made to feel like my dreams and ambitions are insignificant.
I don't like being controlled.
I don't like feeling like nothing I do matters.
I don't like feeling like I'm not truly loved.
I don't like being unsupported in the things I do.
I don't like feeling like I'm wasting my time.
I don't like being constantly put down.
I dont like feeling like I don't matter.
I don't like putting so much effort into something and getting nothing but negativity and meanness in return.
I don't like being depressed and hurt all the time.
I don't like pouring my heart out to people I've never met, but it feels right, so I'm doing it.
I do like living.
I do like photography.
I do like singing.
I do like having ambitions and goals.
I do like the path I'm taking to get my life back on track and to get back to being happy.
I do like that I'm a dork (it's fun).
I do like that I'm making friends.
I do like the direction I'm heading, no matter what I may end up leaving behind.
I do like looking up and staying positive, so that's what I'm going to keep on doing.
Uh... halp? D:
I want to be able to fit figs in it, but I want it to be size-accurate.
My first try at a tank, I really need some help, please.
My VERY messy desk. Something needs to be done about this. I've added notes to the picture. I could have labled way more things than I did, but maybe you've heard....I'm lazy. And I'm tired. Busy, busy day today.
Happy Groundhog's Day!

These are the heads of my enemies. Some of them, at least. They were mighty tasty.
I got the idea out of some Halloween craft book. They're a basic buckeye candy recipe, but give 'em eyes (I tried chocolate candies, but discovered the toothpick holes worked better) and make the dipped chocolate angle somewhat less round, and you get ninja heads. I brought them to a party that was supposed to have a bunch of martial artists. They went over well.
I imagine they'd go over well at a pirates vs. ninjas party, too.
I've never done a multiplicity shot...
The middle is the most obvious as there's a glow around Danny... Tried different things to get rid of it without being too obvious... but got tired, and wanted to post this anyway to see if I could get some feedback in the meantime...Still have to edit other photos from today, and am not sure which will be 365 ;)
Had a lovely day spent with Danny though, and also amazing mongolian bbq... he loved it. This place had been on our things to do list for ages, so I was glad he was so impressed ;)
See a different angle that Amanda took. I like hers better.
Stupid pictures taken at the last Flickr meet up. Silly stuff with sheep!!! :) Yeah sheep. hehehe I think I need help. OH well.

Ended up doing this:
Size 8 needles
Cast on 50
Knit 9 rows k1, p1
24 rows of PATENT
R1 - *YO, S1, K1 (repeat from *)
R2 - *YO, S1, K2TOG (repeat from *)
Repeat row 2 for pattern
Note: slip stitches as if to purl w/yarn in back.
NOTE - I ended up with a way to big hat and had to felt it. Turned out OK in the end...
Hi, I am looking for a source reference for this quote from John Lennon. It has been linked to a Playboy interview but I can't find the quote within that text. Anybody know when and where he said this?? Thanks Flickrites!
