VISIT TO CENTRAL SILK RESEARCH TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE, BANGALORE — at Central Silk Technological Research Institute.
The Students of 3rd Semester B.Sc (Fashion & Apparel Design) & BVA (Textile Design) visited Central Research Technological Institute (CSTRI) on 16th and 21st of August 2018. CSTRI is the only research institute in the country dedicated to the Research & Developmental activities related to silk technology. CSTRI was established in the year 1983 by the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. The Students had a great exposure on silk processing like mulberry silk division, non-mulberry silk division, weaving division, wet processing division, Cocoon Testing Division. The main highlighting of the visit was Products Design Studio where they had showcased the silk bi-products display, Silk Sarees of verities silks & Various embroidery works of India.
