James Forbes – Systems Designer, Amor Transport Sector
James is one of our System Designers within the Amor Transport team. As well as coming armed with a BSc in Computer Science and PG Dip in Advanced Computer Systems Development, he is also a genuine aviation geek… there's not too many architects that can legitimately say that they are also a private pilot! When not commanding control of a Cessna 150 Aerobat, he's probably to be found snowboarding with his wife Leeanne.

David is an internationally renowned business leader in the transport sector having been responsible for the Intelligent Transport Systems team at Mott MacDonald for 7 years, prior to joining Amor in January 2013.
An experienced Electronic Engineer by trade, David has demonstrated an exceptional ability to deliver growth on an international scale across geographies as diverse as North America, Asia, Middle East and Australasia. David’s role as Business Unit Director sees him responsible for all aspects of delivery within our Transport sector and is critical to our continued successful international growth in the coming years.
Away from helping our customers achieve the next generation of airport operations David has 3 mutually beneficial pastimes - travel, golf and photography.
I was asked to be a 3d printing expert at a event at the Seattle Central Library as part of my duties as the co-founder of 3DPC.org. It was a great event. Lot of people got introduced to 3d printing for the first time. Even had some young people. A boy I would say was around 12 or 13 was asking a lot of questions about my Printrbot Metal Simple and its costs. Lot of adults both old and young where asking a lot of great questions on 3d printing too. It was an enjoyable event.
