India loved swimming at the hotel pool! Aunt Toni bought her a new costume and an inflatable duck to help her float. Daddy gave India her first lesson in kicking her legs and I think, she made great progress. I wish we had longer at the hotel, so she could gain more confidence, before we go back to learning to swim in the ocean. India Rose and Brubba are on a mission. The Easter Bunny (in collaboration with Nanny H) has set them a challenge! They must solve each clue and complete each activity, in order to receive their treasure and treats from England! Our toddler loves a surprise! This is the only orange toned lipstick I have ever fallen in love with. It's a very pretty soft coral color.
Aunt Toni's last day in Florida! We spent the day with her at her hotel, India swam in a pool for the first time and she loved it! Our toddler swims in the sea a lot but has never been able to swim anywhere that didn't have waves! She took her inflatable boat and her life jacket. Such a great day, enjoying the sunshine with family. We wish it didn't have to end, but Aunt Toni had to go home to Arizona, India hates to say goodbye and will miss her so much. Our family visited Fort DeSoto Park. Abandoned in 1923 much of the Fort is now ruins. India and Brubba had fun exploring the bunkers and climbing on the artillery and mortars.There is a small museum where you learn the history of Mullet Key, a fishing pier, and a gift shop.The beach below the Fort is beautiful, the view from the top was stunning and we had gorgeous sunshine. India Rose took Granny to the Intracoastal Waterway to watch another beautiful sunset. She enjoys watching the boats heading out into the Gulf of Mexico while Brubba climbs trees. To celebrate Earth Day, India Rose and Brubba planted some flower seeds. India was so excited to use her new watering can and Brubba was happy to help with this fun, Spring gardening activity. We are hoping to attract some beautiful butterflies to our yard. This brother and sister both love to be out in the sunshine and enjoy getting their hands dirty! We planted Forget Me Nots, Marigolds and Cleome. It is a wonderful way for India to learn about plant life and nature, being responsible for keeping something alive and the biggest lesson is in patience! She has been watching out the window, for the last two days, hoping to see them grow! While watching some kids TV, India Rose learns about Holi, or The Festival Of Color. She was so excited to hear them talking about India (the country) We decided that it was a good excuse to do some arts and crafts, we took an empty cereal box and cut out an elephant mask. India painted it all the colors of the festival! Our toddler also learned how to make new colors by mixing together the ones she already had. It's National Siblings Day! India Rose is the luckiest little girl in the world, to have such an awesome big "Brubba". Despite the 12 year age gap, this brother and sister are best friends! We had an appointment out of town and we didn't trust our poor car to make it there and back. So, we went to the airport to rent a car and of course, India Rose turned this into an adventure! It was her first time riding on a moving walkway and her first time on a train. We let her pick which car we rented, a decision she took very seriously.
