Was fantastic to see people playing cricket from all backgrounds in a public park in Hyderabad during my long stay in India. I absolutely loved India and hope to get back someday. An amazing place for a photographer.

Cheteshwar Pujara deflects a ball from Ben Stokes fine for 4 on the first morning of the 3rd test. Pujara didn't stick around too long before foolishly hooking a ball from Chris Woakes to get caught at backward square leg just before the lunch break.

In the background the smart New Stand has replaced the old Parr Stand and West Wing Stand as part of Trent Bridge's impressive redevelopment.

Established in 1864, Eden Gardens currently holds 66,349 people[1][3][4] following renovations for the Cricket World Cup 2011; a capacity down from an estimated 100,000 before the upgrade. Prior to the 1987 World Cup, the capacity was said to be approximately 120,000; however, no official figures have been recorded.Nevertheless, it remains the third biggest cricket stadium in the world, trailing Melbourne Cricket Ground and ANZ Stadium in Australia. Before 1984 both cricket and derby football matches were played in Eden Garden.

Ben Stokes bowling to Cheteshwar Pujara on the first morning of the Trent Bridge test. Stokes had been selected after missing out on the previous match due to a well-publicised court appearance. He failed to produce his bowling heroics from Edgbaston and failed to take a wicket in India's first innings.

India's opening batsman KL Rahul flicks a ball from Chris Woakes down to long leg and Adil Rashid runs round to field. The opening pair put on 60 for India's first wicket. England captain Joe Root would surely later regret his decision to put the opposition in at the start of the 3rd test?

India's prolific skipper Virat Kohli reached 97 in the 1st innings before Adil Rashid surprisingly got him to nick one to Ben Stokes at slip in the same over as this shot was taken. He made up for it in India's 2nd innings scoring 103.

The old Larwood and Voce Stand at Trent Bridge is seen in the background.

Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan nicks a ball from England's Chris Woakes in India's 1st innings at Trent Bridge. Joss Buttler clung on to the catch and Dhawan was dismissed for 35 to leave India 60-1, a promising start after they had been asked to bat first by the England captain at the toss.

England's Joe Root edges a ball from Indian seamer Jasprit Bumrah for a lucky boundary between keeper and first slip down to the Pavilion End at Trent Bridge in the 3rd test. England returned from lunch on 46-0 but collapsed to 161 all out before tea.

India's captain Virat Kholi playing a defensive shot to a delivery from Chris Woakes in his team's 1st innings at Trent Bridge. Kholi scored 97 and 103 in the game and looked different class.

England players run to congratulate Joss Buttler after he clung on to a catch to dismiss Shakhar Dhawan off the bowling of Chris Woakes on Day One of the 3rd test. England's struggle to hold on to slip catches in the series continued later on through the game … making Specsavers a very apt test match sponsor indeed.

England captain Joe Root chases a cover drive from India's Cheteshwar Pujara to the boundary on Day One of the 3rd test match at Trent Bridge.

After a truly dismal batting performance by England on the 2nd afternoon, might this shot be seen as a metaphor for the game?

Ben Stokes brings one back to sail over the top of KL Rahul's stumps in the 2nd innings at Trent Bridge. The Indian opening pair put on 60 important runs in both innings of the game. Stokes bowled 35 overs in the match, with a lot of effort and pace, but only took two wickets.

India's Ishant Sharma slings a quick one just wide of leg stump. England batsman Ollie Pope, playing just his 2nd innings in test cricket, gets a touch off his glove and watches anxiously before Indian keeper Rishabh Pant takes the catch.

Ishant Sharma greeted England's Jonny Bairstow to the crease with a few short deliveries on Day Two at Trent Bridge. Ishant failed to nail Jonny but did take the wickets of Alistair Cook and Ollie Pope in a hostile spell.
