This little lovely is one of four Carolina wrens that have been gifted my yard as their territory by their parents. As usual, the parents raised several broods in the yard this year. Once the last brood was old enough to be independent, the parents moved on.
These little wrens are more friendly than their parents were, they come very close to me when I am in the yard and they allow me to approach them as well. If it ends up that there are two pair, perhaps both pair will nest in the yard. That has happened before. They chose different sides of the house of course, still it was nice to have so many year-round and all of the extra activity during nesting season.

It was only after I got home and examined this image that I realized there was no interconnection among any of the photographed people. A reflection of today's society.

This tiny duckling was the only offspring remaining to the pair of Pink-eared Ducks. Despite its youth, it displayed remarkable independence, swimming energetically several meters ahead of its parents, who struggled to keep up.

Excerpt from www.pafac.org: The first sculptures were installed in Webster's Woods in 2000 and every year new pieces are presented through the Center's Art Outside program. ▶ After a nine-year residency, this was the distillery's penultimate weekend in its original small warehouse. Over the following four months, Mr. Anderson moved Independent's equipment and barrel-stock of aging whiskey and spirits a few blogs west to larger digs, reopening there in late January 2023.

Sonogno is a former municipality in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It is located in Valle Verzasca. On 17 October 2020 the former municipalities of Vogorno, Sonogno, Corippo, Brione (Verzasca) and Frasco merged to form the new municipality of Verzasca.
Sonogno is first mentioned in 1200 as Sornono. In 1417 it was mentioned as Senognio. During the Middle Ages, Sonogno was part of the Vicinanza of Verzasca and shared the fate of the valley. From 1395 to 1843, it formed a single community with Frasco.
It was part of the parish of Vogorno until 1519, when it formed a parish with Frasco. It formed an independent parish in 1734. The parish church of St. Maria Loreto, is first documented in 1519. It was rebuilt in 1854 and decorated with paintings by Cherubino Patà.
The local economy was based mostly on grazing. During the summer, the cattle grazed in the high alpine pastures, in the winter the cows were moved to their winter pastures in the Magadino. Due to limited jobs, many of the residents emigrated and after about 1850, many went overseas. Decedents of residents of Sonogno can be found in nearly 40 different countries. The more recent exodus to urban centers, combined with emigration have caused a steady decline of population since the mid-nineteenth century. The Museum of Verzasca was built in Sonogno in 1974. In 2005 the agricultural sector still offered 47% of jobs in the municipality
