The Beacon deli ghost sign was put up long ago, way than twenty years ago when the sign was already a ghost, by a company called Highway Displays, Inc. out of Poughkeepsie. The company was founded in 1921 by Louis Schwartz. They have since changed their name to Highway Displays Outdoor but are still owned and operated by the Schwartz family.

Ghost sign for Fairfield Line Inc. in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Fairfield appears to have been a glove maker. It's difficult to see in this photo but the "F" in Fairfield has a top hat wearing owl with a glove for a body embedded within it.
The owl is more visible in these photos from a few years earlier.
