Slipping in-between moves on the evening rush, CP's Weed sprayer smokes it up past forlorn Rondout Tower on a perfect day in Northern Illinois. Cameras were close: video lens sustained some weed spray for added "I Was There" effect.

The population of this town is around 80 people, but you rarely see anyone out on the streets. As I was pulling out my camera to photograph a charming street scene, a woman suddenly came running out of nowhere. I hesitated to take her photo, surprised to see anyone at all. But as she ran past me, I framed my shot—just in time for a man to come running from the same direction. I took the photo. Both of them seemed in good spirits, probably running late for something fun they had planned that afternoon.

"For thousands of years one of Iceland’s largest rivers, Jokulsa a Fjollum, (The Glacier River from the Mountains) has continued to flow from under the Vatnajokull glacier ice cap. It winds its way through a landscape of diverse aspects for a distance of 206 km, runs north to the sea and empties at Oxarfjordur bay. Besides being the country’s second longest river, its catchment area is the largest of all. North of Vatnajokull, the river crosses a barren, gently sloping plateau, but the current gains speed towards the edge of the highlands, where powerful waterfalls drop into the canyon. On its long journey, the river has carved numerous channels into the highland bedrock and to the west of Holsfjoll it cascades from a tall rocky ledge, forming the huge waterfall Dettifoss, plunging into magnificent canyons which extend all the way down to the bridge over the river on highway 85" (from Extreme Iceland)

On a windy and cold day in Randolph, New Hampshire. My photographic forays from the vehicle were numerous, but brief, with the heat turned up high in between.
Thanks for visiting!

The night is even more richly coloured than the day. . . If only one pays attention to it. (Vincent van Gogh, letter to sister, September 1888).
