I just happened to position myself right under the path that the Eagles were taking to add materials to their nest. The nest was around 200 yards to my east and their gathering location was about 100 yards to my west. It was very interesting and a lot of fun to be able to sit there and watch them work.

This adult Bald Eagle grabbed some lunch from the river and headed for the trees to enjoy it's meal.

After not seeing any Snow Geese in a week or more, They have now returned.

This buck was hiding in the trees about 80 yards across the canal from me. Not sure how long it watching me before I looked up and saw him there.

Located at Cape Perpetua Thor's Well is a bowl-shaped hole that is the result of a collapsed sea cave. At high tide, the bowl fills up and sprays sea water everywhere- and then the sea sucks it all back down and out into the ocean again. As you can see, the surf was pretty high, so I did not get too close to the opening.

Took a ride down to the Everglades and found this Little Blue Heron.

Went back to the same area as the day before and the Leucistic Mallard Hen was still hanging around. She seems to be enjoying the fresh snowfall.

Canyonlands Sunset

The overlook of the Green River at Canyonlands is a magnificent vista, and at sunset, the view is inspiring.

note to self: don’t plan the days, and leave room for the moments to unfold instead

Like clockwork the Snow Geese have come to visit us again this year.

This Leucistic Mallard Duck was swimming with a group of about 15 normal colored ducks.

Male Mallards swimming together working on catching up with the rest of the group.

It took a few minutes for this guy to finally get back in the water. The other ducks walked to the edge and jumped in, but this one seemed a little nervous.

An adult Bald Eagle with fish. This one disappeared into the tree line so I can only assume that this one was headed back to it's nest.

When this Osprey flew up with it's catch it did not mind that I was standing only about 20 yards from the tree.
