Off a back streets to find, a beauty of Venetian Architecture. Beautiful spiral staircase is the main point of design. Similar in design to the Tower of Pisa. More research to see which influenced the other.
Ruins of the Almohaden mosque and Hassan tower in background. With the most kindest cleric, whom in French gave me an expeditious history lesson; followed by a blessed. Such a wonderful country with delightful and friendly people.

London Bridge in its latest and without the doubt the ugliest incarnation. It was built in 1973 and replaced John Rennie's 1831 bridge which in turn replaced the old medieval and perhaps the most iconic bridge of all. Before that there were a whole succession of bridges on this spot (more or less) going back all the way to the Roman days. In 1834 workmen working on the north side of the Thames shore, close to the bridge, found a bronze head. It turned out to be a head from a large Roman statue portraying emperor Hadrian. It is in The British Museum now. The massive skyscraper under construction is Rafael Vinoly's 20 Fenchurch Street, while the small Classical building is Fishmongers' Hall built in 1834 and which contains the dagger with which Lord Mayor Walworth killed Wat Tyler in 1381. Lots of history in this tiny part of London.

While on my way to the harbour last night, I decided to stop and shoot the well-known Hamilton landmark that stands overlooking the highway. This church was built in the early 1930s from limestone quarried in Indiana and Georgetown, Ontario.

The ceiling of the Jefferson Building is so ornate. It was challenging to find good places to stand while composing a shot. Staircases, columns, holiday decorations, and crowds of visitors were everywhere.

Well, today we await the final drawing of our cottage construction...Shot this last week in Morin Heights, met the fellow who owns it, he built it all himself, he is an inspiration.
