A small impression of the work in this phase of the renovation in the house. Man, what a mess of particulate matter and noise pollution. Fortunately, 1 more day and then the build-up begins.

The Barataria Preserve in Louisiana consists of over 20,000 acres of bayous, swamps, marshes, and forests that contain alligators, nutrias, spiders (lots of spiders) and over 300 species of birds. Boardwalks and dirt trails wind through the preserve, and the waterways can be explored by canoe or kayak.
