Probably the most obvious way of producing an implied triangle was to place my subjects in a basic triangle. This is what I did for the first shot. The straight lines of the wooden chopping board beneath the dough balls emphasize the triangle shape of the arrangement.
Post processing amendments: White balance, exposure, tone curve, split toning, vibrance, & sharpening adjusted in Lightroom.
Implied Triangle (From Assignment 1: Design Elements)
Metadata: f3.5 at 1/640, ISO 5000, 18mm
When walking by the student recreation center shown in this image, I realized the maroon supports hanging above and aside the building. The support beams make the shape of the implied triangles. The shadows casted by the suports help create separation between the building and the supports. The maroon supports draws the viewers attention away from the building to the implied triangles.
While in post, I slightly brought down the exposure so the image does not looks overexposed like in the original photo and increased the contrast, highlights and saturation to help colors look more vibrant and stand out.
This egg photo is "implied texture" because of the blanket. You can see the ripples and wrinkles in the blanket, giving it that fabric-feel in your mind.
1.Depth
Depth is used in this image through the smooth transition from the foreground, to the middle ground, to the background. Even though this image does not have a huge range of depth, there is still presence of it in the image.
2.Focal Area
The focal area is the thicker branch from the trunk in the top right corner. This point is at an intersection point on the rule of thirds. I helped focus on it by using the dodge and burn effect.
3.Balance
The balance could arguably be asymmetrical or symmetrical. By having the larger branch in the middle ground on one side, it balances the other smaller branches on the other side.
4.Lighting
The bright skylight from the background helps create dramatic lighting in the image and throws the shadows of the branches.
5.Simplicity
This photo shows simplicity in how there are no competing subjects and busyness in it. It is one subject, the tree.
6.Line Type
The line type is implied as your eye follows the trunk all the way to the top even though there are obstacles and impediments (the branches) that disrupt the line of sight.
7.Texture
The texture is quite prominent in this photo. The rough tree bark is consistent throughout the composition.
8.Pattern
The pattern is seen in both the repetition of the branch, and the consistency of the bark texture.
9.Contrast
The bright, white sky creates a contrast with the darker, earthy bark.
10.Point of view
This is definitely an interesting point of view as it was taken from up and under the tree trunk.
11.Reflection
I really like this image. I think the perspective is awesome, the lighting is interesting, and the fade into the background completes it. I would try to create some more depth within the photo next time; it seems a little confusing to look at at first.

The door being open causes imaginary lines to pull your focus to the inside of the Mclaren MP4 12C GT3.
I reshot this picture this week. I chose to use it for implied triangle because the dears legs form a triangle. I also really liked the shadows casted all ove the animal. In post I upped the vibrance a little and toned the picture with the dodge and burn tool so that the dear was the brightest part of the picture. I also sharpened the image a little bit.
