La chapelle Notre-Dame de Locmaria, Ploemel

La chapelle Notre-Dame de Locmaria, autrefois Notre-Dame de Miséricorde ou de Pitié, passe pour avoir été le siège d'un prieuré hospitalier en raison de son importante dotation : dans le village une grande maison nommée l'Hôpital avec jardin clos de murs en dépendait.
À partir du XIVe siècle, la chapelle a une destination funéraire puisque la famille Broérec reconstruit la chapelle et implante un caveau de famille sous l'ancien chœur, aujourd'hui disparu. Il ne reste dans la nef, que la pierre tombale de Pierre de Broérec. Celle ci fut découverte en 1830 quand l'ancien chœur a été supprimé.
L'édifice actuel, dont la construction remonte à la fin du XVe siècle, est de forme rectangulaire à triple vaisseau. Ce n'est en fait que la nef de l'ancienne chapelle plus vaste. Le chevet actuel est le mur de l'ancien chancel, dont l'arc diaphragme a été comblé.

La croix de Locmaria date probablement du milieu du 18e siècle, bien qu'elle ne figure pas sur le plan cadastral de 1845. Implantée au centre du placître du village de Locmaria, la croix est édifiée sur un emmarchement de deux marches. Le soubassement en pierre de taille avec base et corniche moulurée est surmonté d'une base monolithe, d'une croix monolithe de section carrée à arêtes chanfreinée ornée d'un Christ en croix très fruste.

Regard sur les quartiers de Liévin.
Dès 1550 on mentionnait une chapelle dédiée à la Vierge, mais la tradition populaire rapporte que le premier édifice aurait été construit par un ermite. Raconté l’histoire de cette chapelle serait trop long. Devant l’intérêt historique de ce site qui a rythmé la vie des Liévinois durant des siècles, le Conseil Municipal de Liévin sous l’impulsion de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida a décidé de réédifier la chapelle. La construction s’élève sur son implantation originelle, dans le bois de Riaumont. Le style, l’architecture et les coloris ont pu être reconstitués grâce aux vestiges archéologiques découverts sue ce site.
Le 9 mai 2010 ? la chapelle Notre Dame de grâce fut inaugurée et bénie en présence de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida, Maire de Liévin, Député du Pas-de-Calais et de Monseigneur Jean-Paul Jaeger, Evêque d’Arras, de Boulogne et de Saint-Omer.

Microchip implant in humans have raised new ethical discussions by scientific professional forums, academic groups, human rights organizations, government departments and religious groups. The Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA) of the American Medical Association published a report in 2007 alleging that RFID implanted chips may compromise privacy because there is no assurance that the information contained in the chip can be properly protected, notwithstanding health risks (chips may travel under the skin).
RFID tagging has been criticised by believers of Abrahamic religions. In Christianity, some believe the implantation of chips may be the fulfillment of The Mark of the Beast, prophesied to be a requirement for buying and selling, and a key element of the Book of Revelation. In Judaism, Conservative, Orthodox, and Reform Jewish beliefs hold that that cutting, piercing or marking the flesh, a requirement for implantation, is contrary to the notion that people were made "in the image of God", and the orders in Leviticus 19:28. Islam also considers body modifications "haram", an Arabic term meaning "forbidden", because they involve changing the body, a creation of God. The health risks associated with implantable microchips described above may also invoke Islamic prohibitions.

I have been getting a lot of questions lately about wearing SL breasts so, I published what I hope is a helpful little guide on fixing some common issues. I hope you enjoy!
The post is on my blog; however, I had to take the link out of flickr for TOS reasons.
Now for something completely different! . . . . Well maybe not completely different. Here we see Joni wearing essentially the same outfit she wore in Myrtle Beach a month earlier, but with a different hairstyle and color. This photo was taken on a Friday night at the Paradise Club in Asbury Park. (Katie O'Malley was nowhere in sight.) Joni had returned to New Jersey for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was finally having her MOLAR IMPLANTS (Not the implants you might have been thinking about!) put in place after a more than three year ordeal, beset by do-overs, delays, and bone grafts. So if Joni's smile seems a little broader, now you know. . .
Unfortunately, being a New York Jets season ticket holder, Joni's male alter ego also attended the New York Jets home opener on Sunday afternoon, but had little opportunity to smile as the Jets gifted Bill Belicheat and the Patriots with an easy victory lowlighted by not one, not two, not three, but four interceptions thrown by their hot shot rookie quarterback, Zack Wilson. (Nice game, Zack!) Yes, indeed, the same old Jets! . . . .
By the way, on a more interesting note, I ran this photo and several others through an age guessing site, called "Face Age Detector" and the computer viewed this photo and guessed Joni's age to be 51 years old! . . . Very generous, Mr. Computer!! Joni will take that as a compliment!!! . . . . That is until I ran some other photos and received some astonishing results!
Believe it or not, I ran several other photos of Joni, all of which were taken during the past year and came away with other estimated ages as low as 28 years old!!!! The highest estimate was 48 years old! The other estimates were 30, 31, 36, 39, 42, 46, and 47 years old! All of those age estimates were well below Joni's actual age. Actually, not even close!! It made me feel like Joni and I had found the Fountain of Youth!!! . . . . I then tested a photo of Joni's male alter ego dressed in drab taken a few months ago and got a more sobering estimated age of 61 years old; still a very favorable estimated age, all things considered! I guess wearing makeup can make a big difference! I won't identify Joni's other photos that provided her (and me!) with those wonderful, but off the wall, estimates of her age that were previously mentioned above, but I will say that all of those photos, taken during the past year, are currently posted on my photostream. . . Believe it or not!!
I then decided to venture into dangerous territory by running a couple of photos of my wife. She will be happy to learn that the first photo taken three or four years ago produced an age estimate that was 17 years younger than her actual age at the time! I won't even mention to her, however, that a more current photo taken this past summer produced an estimated age that was only three years younger than her current age.
Now I can understand if there is a deep undercurrent of skepticism in the Flickr universe, however If there are any women out there feeling despondent about having wrinkles and the like on their pretty faces, I would suggest they try running some of their best photos through this site, by googling "Detect Age by Face Photo - How old do I look?" You may be surprised to find out how young you really are in the eyes of the computer. Of course, I can't vouch for the computer's eyesight or its accuracy, but it may be a huge boost to one's self-confidence!
. . . . By the way, Joni doesn't photoshop any of her photos. Other than cropping and occasional adjustment of lighting, focus, and filters provided by Flickr, Joni's photos are on the level.
