Weeklong Fast 7/2-9. Support it!

Of course, these were the "good" ones. Not like those pesky immigrants we have now, diluting the race and all.

For the past eight months i have been photographing a small place right outside Florence. In this place are about 300 people from Rumenia and have they been squatting there since in the winter of 2005. The kids are in school and the parents are working in Florence.

There are all from 4-12 people living together in one "apartment" wich is an old hospital room.

These are great people with great spirits and i am really happy of getting the oppurtunity of photographing there.

Each sculpture has a number and is different from all the others.

Many illegal immigrants take on the jobs of construction workers and gardners. Which is a good thing because now we have people to do these jobs, but also a bad thing. The majority of these aliens have no jobs, which means no income. Which also means that they go to our government for welfare and things such as food stamps, to buy food for their families. Why do they still suffer in the U.S. even though we have a better opportunity for a better life? The answer is that these immigrants are ILLEGALY here. They have crossed (or jumped) our border illegaly, which causes major problems for our community and security.

It seems like the rally was just picking up momentum as we passed this section of Grant Park, but the media, cops, EMS and fire people were everywhere.
