iphone rendering - The "structural poetics" series emerges from "topography, light, climate, and tectonic form" found during my observations of place. The images are a composite of existing conditions that depict a hyper contextual architecture that utilizes software as the primary material.

The foundations of the Imaginary Architecture series is born from a study of density, an infographic of excel data hacked by the gritty reality of place, a speculative look at the undervalued urban context.

"Black Rock" uses Perspective Correct to create dynamic space by warping images in a non-corrective manner. Compositing several layers of photos is done with Union, ImageBlender, and SquareReady. Final finishing is handled with Mextures and AfterLight

working notes for an exhibition of design and software oriented mobile photography at project 4 gallery in DC:

“Everyware" documents a creative practice that leverages the connections found by individuals on social media. Instagram, EyeEm, and Snapwire, to name a few apps, foster a new type of urbanism that defies tactile and haptic existence, geospatial constraints, and even language.

Hand in hand, and held in one hand, the works of Aaron Cahill, William Deegan, and Lynette Jackson explores context with mobile technologies by repositioning the “mundane or overlooked” via image manipulation.

Software is the primary building material that links the works of this Graphic Designer, Architect, and Engineer. Working as individuals, yet aware of each others explorations, Aaron, Bill, and Lynette’s work is connected by an extended moment of parallel play.

The works in “Everyware” leverage topography, light, climate, and tectonic form to create a Digital Regionalism from a contemporary notion of place.

unsolicited #imaginaryarchitectures proposal for the @44foundation consider the bold and brutal choice of #uic and #walternetsch for the 44th presidential library.

A number of years back the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art (MCMA) awarded the painting with a purchase prize. I posted a few photos of it in 2009, but they are of a very poor quality. For the first time since then, the painting is on display In a small upstairs conference room. I took this photo today and though it’s at an angle, it is far, far better than the minuscule photo of 2009. The canvas is 22 x 14 inches.
