Dewey Beach lies on a small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, is about one mile long and two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for 30,000 to descend upon the town during summer weekends. Numerous bars and restaurants line Coastal Highway (Delaware Route 1), the town's main street.

Delaware it the second-smallest state in the United States after Rhode Island.

I mosaiced this old vase with the seashell treasures I found while walking the beaches in Florida this past winter. I love that I can see them everyday and it hides that funky water line that are in clear vases.

You have to love Walmart and their end of season clear out prices on plants. I got this particular plant for $2.00. Needless to say, no one had to twist my rubber arm to purchase it.

This little Tea Rose was given to me by grandson 4 years ago for my 29th birthday... ;-)

l planted it outside and every year faithfully it blossoms without fail. Out of all the rose bushes l have this one has the most meaning. He was only 6 at the time and used his own money to purchase it. :))))

Rehoboth Beach is a city along the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Sussex County, Delaware.

The town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware often bills itself as The Nation's Summer Capital due to the fact that it is a frequent summer vacation destination for Washington, D.C., residents (121.78 miles / 2 hrs 46 mins from The White House)

Dewey Beach lies on a small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, is about one mile long and two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for 30,000 to descend upon the town during summer weekends. Numerous bars and restaurants line Coastal Highway (Delaware Route 1), the town's main street.

Delaware it the second-smallest state in the United States after Rhode Island.

The town hosts the Dewey Beach Music Conference during the last weekend of September. This event began in 2002 and has been a huge draw for unsigned bands from all over the country.

It is believed that the name was given to Dewey Beach following the 1898 Battle of Manilla (Spanish–American War) when Admiral George Dewey became a national hero.
