This is me just being silly...a few months back l bought a set of extension tubes and yesterday was the first time l experimented with them....(we had a rain free day). I don't have a tripod so this was taken free hand which l'm really proud of, as l have a really bad case of the shakes on any given day.

I'm rather excited about this one - the finished product is a result of three separate photos taken on a day trip we took to Port Dover, Ontario today:

a) the seagull

b) the clouds

c) the weathered texture found on the hull of a fishing boat

So it represents the first time I've layered a photo using my own textures - and if I do say so myself, I'm quite pleased with the result!

There's no stopping me now....... ;-)

This week we've had a storm almost every day...our well is very happy. This time last year we were paying to have the water truck dump 2000 gallons into the well every couple of weeks...There is no fear of it going dry this year. :) We have broke records for the amount of rain that has fallen...l have some very happy flowers and some not so happy....My roses are happy!! :)

Esta semana hemos tenido una tormenta casi todos los días ... así es nuestra muy feliz. Esta vez el año pasado estaban pagando para tener el camión cisterna volcado de 2000 galones en el bien cada par de semanas ... No hay temor de que te seca de este año. :) Hemos roto los registros de la cantidad de lluvia que ha caído ... l tiene algunos muy feliz flores y algunos no tan feliz .... Mi rosas son felices! :)

Watched an absolutely amazing sky and sunset last night while fishing on Newman Lake.

I have to admit, I haven't been out to take pictures in the mountains since winter. I am so happy to be back out now that it's officially the first day of summer!

Here is the recipe of my very own crazy smoothie :)

1 pint strawberries

2 bananas

1 orange

1/2 cup unseeded red grapes

1 cup non-fat yogurt

4 tbsp sugar

Blend all the ingredients together until the blender or you go crazy...add crushed ice..blend for few more seconds...and guzzle down hurriedly :)

Today was my last official work day and now summer can begin! Because my school system has decided to be closed on Fridays, we have had to clock long hours from Monday through Thursday.

It was exhausting.

When I got home, I sent the little girls to play in their room so that I could commune with nature for a moment. All my anxieties just floated away.

This Western Tiger Swallowtail seems to think my yellow chair is a great place to have a rest. I wasn't going to argue with it....l followed one around the yard hoping to get a decent shot the day before with no luck. l was happy for this opportunity!
