Today started out as a rainy grey day, which somewhat left my mood somewhat grey too. I like a bit of cloud in the sky and am happy that by sunset, they had blown away enough for the sun to make a dramatic, albeit brief appearance. I am even more happy that I had gone for a walk and was there when this was all unfolding. To make things even better, in the opposite direction, there was a rainbow against a dramatic blue sky. Too beautiful. Too peaceful. Bliss.
Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm having the Best Week Ever™!
First, I won a bike. Sure, it's not the best bike in the world and I prefer the three bikes I already own but still- I won it!
Then, if you're not on flickr all the time, you can find time for Craig's List and you might just score a polaroid camera and 2 packs of film for $20. Suh-weeeet!
And that's just the beginning:
Monday- Dinner out with out of town friend at awesome new Thai restaurant.
Tuesday- 8 hour round trip with a car full of food lovers to a farm in the country where they make wood fired pizzas with wheat they grow and mill themselves. (more on this later...)
Wednesday- Later today I get to be a judge in a local cooking contest, which is like going to the best potluck ever.
Thursday- Who knows what Thursday has in store for me...
Friday- Going to see She & Him with a flickr friend.
Saturday- Finally, finally getting to go to the Great Taste of the Midwest, a fab beer fest that I've never managed to get tickets for.
And to think that this week last year I was laid up on the couch with a sprained ankle...
Really nothing in life can be better than evening swim. Morning too cool, during the day too much sun. But evening ♥️

It was a beautiful rainy night, and there was something dreamy about dark rainy road. I was content. Then a 4am phone call, and I’m in emergency room on a chair by intubated grandmother. In the neighborhood where I went to school, grew up, worked. My entire life flashed back in 5 minutes, and I realized over & over again... follow your heart, do what makes you happy, and block the outside noise. Tomorrow is just a word ! TODAY, this moment is life ! I put myself together and went to work & smiled ! And people said my smile is contagious. It really made me feel better that numbness & pain I felt inside was not transferred to the outside world

1. Sometimes I like to sleep in tights.

3. I gave up pop for about 3 months and drank nothing but lemonaid and iced tea. (It didn't work out too well.)

By the way. I really do love life. So much. I used to think it's not fair. But everything happens for a reason. I am satisfied. The reason we don't have something is because we don't need it.

Passing by a cemetery today and this caught my attention ,that we are not here forever ...... Love each other,help each other and respect each other....life is beautiful and life is short .
I am passionate about Life.
I know you've heard it, but my brother lost his, so I will not waste a moment of mine. I am living it for both him and I. And having a lot of fun.
My first thought of passion made me want to take a photo of Mr. Cat and I. One thing we have never, ever had a lack of is passion. I think that chemistry has gotten us through some hard times. But he is working late tonight, so I had Anna take this shot since it encompasses the passion that I feel about many different things and the overall best thing - life.
Passion is so good.
I also thought about passion tonight when I was driving home from Anna's softball practice and the sky was changing before my very eyes in the most amazing ways and it was killing me to not be at the beach taking pics. I get moved when I see the sky and it is beautiful. Passion.
I have passion for my child in a way that when I pick her up, I have to hug her and hold her hand and reach in the back seat and grab her leg on the way home because I just love her so much. Passion.
I am so passionate about music that I have over 5,000 songs in my iTunes library and thousands more on a hard drive for music only. Music melts me, gets me dancing, moves me...it is a BIG part of my life and I value the fact that I know a lot about many artists across many genres. I LOVE music. Passion.
I love to cook. I get excited about making a meal for my family and savor the smells as the ingredients come together. Passion.
I am a Leo. A very passionate person. I roar loud about what I believe in and am glad that as I type this, I feel passion.
Some may laugh about how dorky I sound, but I do not care. I am glad I am this way.
Here's to passion.

summer's almost here. i've been counting down for WAY too long! but one more week and it's here. this week has been insanely-awesomely-amazingly blessed and fun and bittersweet. we had a schoolwide celebration picnic thing yesterday and i won tickets to the art museum, today i got FOUR FREE BOXES OF DARKROOM PRINTING PAPER (i know, absolutely the greatest day of my life bahaha). and i went to garage sales and bike rode and didn't study... every day i don't study is a good day lol. the bittersweet part of this week was that my mom was in the hospital, but she's home now so everything is gooood ! ilovelife. :]
