Sofia is a 4-year-old Standard Poodle. “She is the most amazing, loving, smartest and funniest dog that I have ever had,” says her dog mom, Karen. “When it is bed time, she brings her favorite toy to bed. In fact, she knows which name goes with each toy and never makes a mistake when told to get a particular toy.”
Luna, an 8 or 9-year-old Chihuahua-Jack Russell Terrier mix adopted three years ago, is “the loveliest furbaby – she adores me,” says her dog mom. “But you best not be a squirrel sneaking in my yard, because Luna will make you run.”
Chloe, who’s about 1½ years old, was adopted from the North Shore Animal League. She love kids of all ages and playing with other dogs. “Every time we walk in the door she greets us as if she hasn't seen us in days, but it is usually only an hour or two,” said her pet parents. “She is the perfect family dog.”
Harvey is a 4-month-old, long-haired Mini Dachshund. “Here he is sleeping next to his big brother, Mugsy, who has the most patient, tolerant expression on his face,” says his pet parent. “Harvey likes to burrow in next to him during nap time. He feels safe and clearly relaxed.”
Two-year-old Tully’s dog mom, Lori, is sure her dog is the reincarnation of her dad. "My Dad was a huge baseball fan and a very jolly, kind soul. Tully would play ball 24/7 if only my arm was bionic! He is the happiest dog I have ever known.” Tully is very friendly with people and other dogs. “When I rescued my current foster dog, who had been terribly abused, it was Tully who ultimately showed him it was safe and how to be a ‘dog,’” Lori says. “They are bonded like nothing I have ever seen, and next month I will officially adopt my foster so that the two best friends do not have to say goodbye.”
