In the Netherlands there is a heatwave today and the next days. I cannot stand the heat, so I probably stay inside, except for the early morning and late evening.
Time for an oldie, I made in 2010, when we were one day staying in a hotel in Phoenix Arizona, in the beginning of May. I was a bit handicapped then, I walked with crutches, but made a selfportrait from the swimmingpool.
Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!

The flower is perfect, but I hesitated to upload this photo of the Himalayan blue poppy, because the photo is not! I love it anyway!

This plant was still flowering in Octobre, I think it is Monkshood, but I'am not sure.
I'am not totally content about this photo, because of the white spot, but I don't know how to improve it. Not enough skills with PS! I still wanted to upload this to find out what you think about it.

To answer all your questions: it's taken from an aeroplane on an exceptionally clear day. The piece of land that you see is (as far as I can tell) the Swedish island of Öland.

As amateur, we always ask how to improve our photography.
Many have said practice, practice and practice more. So shoot more (explore, experiment, exercise) and shoot less (be more critical on your subject and ask questions why, how, what etc before you click the shutter).
It may be useful to find a guiding light on your road of photography. Try to learn from a great master in photography. Study the works, experiences or teachings from the masters that you admire.
Or you may find a mentor. He/she may not be a photographer. Photography is like life. You need to learn more than just the how-to techniques for photography. A mentor we are talking here is not a person who teaches you Photoshop, or the one who shows you the rules of composition. Instead he/she would be someone who leads you to more questions about yourself and questions about the world (and he/she may not give you the answers).
So go and find the guiding light for you.
This is the lighthouse I saw when I was en-route to Cristo Rei in my Lisbon vacation this year.
Happy Monday and great week ahead!
In marimekko® land, people over 40 visit to dental care, self made monetary policy as minimum twice a year. Public dental care fees are free but got to wait so most visit private dentists and they are rally pricey. I and my teeth are spoiled rotten by my lovely friends with good hearts..
There are more on the table at warm drink, Kotipizza and chocolate, sugar-coated sweetness heart shape Donuts too.. Sadly I ate them.. I could not take a photo but I found in instagram that is not my photo.

nothing says Happy Spring better than a bunch of rainbows. Thanks, Bahar. We love you, boo. Moochie-moch and hugs.
(manipulation limited to blurring. the sun from outside my kitchen window did most of the effects for me on this one. lucky ducky chiqui. :-))
Ok so here it is everyone the last one, I'm so sad but really happy at the same time. 365 helped me in so many ways for one I made some pretty good flickr friends, and it helped me improve in my photography tremedoulsy, and without 365 I would have not been published two times. Therefore I would like to say that 365 is a very stressful and a hard thing to do but to tell you the truth I loved every minute of it. And I also would like to say a big thank you to all the flicker's out there that have commented favorited or viewed my 365 project. And I would like to say a even bigger thank you to a group of people that have really helped me to keep going and not give to up and they always encouraged me and just made me feel good.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
And my bestfriend Rachel
The blue in the water is different from the blue in the sky of Barcelona I think.
This is the modern architecture of a bridge i.e. Pont de Catatrava in Barcelona.
It si not so exciting as the architecture of Gaudi. But it is still a sight to see. Do you think so?

HBM everyone :-) I'm trying to get into this theme thing, but usually remember when it's all over. Anyway, I didn't forget tonight :-) It was easy - back to work today after a nice little holiday :-((((((((
Who am I?
I am photo buff with impaired eye vision.
I am bookworm.
I am classical music maniac.
I am cat lover.
I am a slow person when taking pictures (as commented by my photo club friends) and slow at everything else as commented by my wife.
I am Flickr addict who loves viewing other people's pictures and loves to comment in the first comment box.
I am Sudoku addict and play every Sudoku ranked as difficult or evil.
I am the Flickr photographer who is too shy to show my face to my Flickr friends.
I am traveller in my hometown.
I am photographer who shoots in all kinds of lights and all kinds of boring subjects (including self portrait not showing the face).
I am sure I am not the only person in the world who asks the question "Who am I?".
This is the lyrics from the song "No one knows who I am" from album "Highlights from Jekyll & Hyde".
Look at me and tell me who I am.
Why I am, what I am.
Call me a fool and it is true I am.
I don't know who I am.
This is my random snapshot in my bathroom and it was taken without looking at the LCD screen of my X10.
Happy weekend!

Interesting because there is a play on 1947, the year the Indian sub-continent was torn apart during the Partition, and the Punjab was divided between India and Pakistan.
