Tide out at Spanish Banks Beach Monday evening. The last beams of sun hit the west side of a couple of ships at anchor in English Bay. A family curiously searches the tide pools for something while a curious photographer wants to know what's in the bag 😂

In the distance, beyond Bowen Island is the highest peak on the Sunshine Coast. Tetrahedron Peak (on the right) stretches 1,739m (5705ft) into the sky and is located in Tetrahedron Provincial Park. The second highest, centered, is Panther Peak 1,627m (5,338ft).

The closest ship is a bulk carrier named the "Andalucian Zephyr". The longer one is the "Morning Cherry" a roll-on/roll-off vehicle carrier.

Last night's full moon rises above the smoke filled air in Vancity. Directly below, the Electra Building (blue & green lights) on Burrard St. with Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre above English Bay Beach on the right. On the left, the Vancouver Lookout above the Teahouse in Stanley Park. Unfortunately, we here in North America didn't get to see the Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon). The colour of the moon here was most likely caused by the large wild land fire on the Department of National Defence lands in Richmond, BC which filled our skies with smoke yesterday. The moon didn't appear in the sky until it was well over the city. Captured from Point Atkinson in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ~ July 27, 2018 🌚

One last image of Sombrio Beach - one of my favorite beaches to explore and photograph as it is never the same each time you go. The changing tides and winter storms are rearranging the shoreline constantly.

One thing always remains the same - it's beauty and tranquillity.

October's 99% Full Hunter Moon sets over the Jericho Pier on English Bay. The moon had disappeared behind the clouds 15 minutes earlier but eeappeared between these clouds for a brief moment before fading away again. Clouds and rain were forecast for the following night's Full Moon, so I thought I'd catch a last glimpse of this magnificent celestial body on it's way out. This is looking west at Point Grey. On the left, the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club blended in with the Jericho Sailing Centre (centered) with Pacific Spirit Park just above.
