Here is our lovely old boy, Stitch, aka the Stupid One. He has featured in every 365 since 2012 and has a Flickr album to himself! He is getting on in years and has not been himself recently. We're hoping it is a blip but it maybe that his dog years are finally catching him. He grew up with the kids and puts up with a lot, including me often taking pictures of him! He will be sorely missed when he does go off to play ball in the sky but he has had a good life. Fingers crossed for some more time with him.
51/123 - Illustrate a favourite quote. I use this one quite often at work.
For 121 Pictures in 2021 #47 "Illustrate a book title" these are serrano and Thai chiles, both red and green to go on the cover of "The Devil's Dinner, a gastronomic and cultural history of chili peppers" by Stuart Walton. I should note that his use of "chili peppers is incorrect, anything referring to the plant or the pod itself should be spelled chile. The term chili should be only used to refer to a stew making use of chiles. This was borne out by extensive research on the internet, where, as we all know, everything is correct.
One of a series (See album) of physical, plant fruit, used to display the nine fruits of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23. Faith (also may be translated as faithfulness) is one of these fruits of the Spirit. I picked fruit that had a name that started with the same sound or letters as the Fruit of the Spirit illustrated. I confess that I had never heard of feijoa until I did this poster.
Thanks for looking! Be faithful.

As expected, it didn't take long for Pedro to discover Secretary's "new" camera. Now he has also picked up an illustrated book and travel guide to Brittany and is making travel plans in his (and Secretary's) favorite armchair...
"I rejoice that there are owls. Let them do the idiotic and maniacal hooting for men. It is a sound admirably suited to swamps and twilight woods which no day illustrates, suggesting a vast and underdeveloped nature which men have not recognized. They represent the stark twilight and unsatisfied thoughts which all [men] have."

I asked if I could take a photo while he read and he readily agreed. I didn't stare at the specific tattoos until I put it into my computer. Wow! Each body section tells a different story. Look at large view. On weekdays he blends with all the other commuters from San Francisco to a Palo Alto tech job.

This Common Grackle was one of several that were feeding on what seemed to me an unusual food source: the small seeds at the base of the scales of coniferous cones. This illustrates the resourcefulness of this species. The setting was Elliston Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
This guy could hardly keep still from laughing! At last he did for about three seconds! Just time to take this shot!
The Arch of Titus (Italian: Arco di Tito; Latin: Arcus Titi) is a 1st-century CE honorific arch,[1] located on the Via Sacra, Rome, just to the south-east of the Roman Forum. It was constructed in c. 81 CE by Emperor Domitian shortly after the death of his older brother Titus to commemorate Titus's official deification or consecratio and the victory of Titus together with their father, Vespasian, over the Jewish rebellion in Judaea.[2]
The arch contains panels depicting the triumphal procession celebrated in 71 CE after the Roman victory culminating in the fall of Jerusalem,[2] and provides one of the few contemporary depictions of artifacts from Herod's Temple.[3] Although the panels are not explicitly stated as illustrating this event, they closely parallel the narrative of the Roman procession described a decade prior in Josephus' The Jewish War.[4][5]
It became a symbol of the Jewish diaspora, and the menorah depicted on the arch served as the model for the menorah used as the emblem of the State of Israel.[6]
The arch has provided the general model for many triumphal arches erected since the 16th century. It is the inspiration for the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.[7] It holds an important place in art history, being the focus of Franz Wickhoff's appreciation of Roman art in contrast to the then-prevailing view.[8]

It is my pleasure to recommend a set of books that I used and believe to be quite informational: Foods And Their Healing Power and Medicinal Plants. As a Fellow, in the Medical Fellowship Program at Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital, I have found these books to be quite helpful. They provide accurate nutritional information for a wide array of foods found throughout the world and they include a list of medicinal plants with their properties and mechanisms of action. In addition, they are written without the usual heavy jargon, which makes them appealing to healthcare professionals, non-health care persons and children. The quality is superb and the material is presented in a colorful way. I have recommended them, on numerous occasions, to guests and patients at the Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital. This set of books will complement the home and any other learning enviroments.

I am writing this letter to offer my gratitude regarding the Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants. In your description of the books you explained how beautiful they were and their content. All that I can say is that your words were not enough! The books have already proven to be an incredible asset to my own education and the promotion of God's health message to others.
The color and clarity of photographs is nothing less than phenomenal and the information given on each of the foods and medicinal plants far surpasses anything that I have been able to find thus far in book form or on the Internet. Not only will this prove very valuable in a health ministry but also in my profession as a medical doctor in education of my patients.
Please feel free to use me as a reference if anyone medical or non-medical needs further insight on these very valuable tools. Thanks again and God bless you!

Illustrate attraction in a photograph today. #ds502
New research from the University of Washington indicates that the setting of children for sweets have a biological explanation. Apparently, the desire for sugar is related to the accelerated growth rate of this phase of life.
"The relationship between sweet and growth makes sense. When growth is fast, the body's caloric demand increases. Children are biologically compelled to like sweets because they fill a nutritional need, which causes them to seek energy sources, " explains one of Study author, Danielle Reed.
Explained: This is the delicious law of attraction!
