This guy was very happy to be photographed, and interesting and witty to talk to!

Here is our lovely old boy, Stitch, aka the Stupid One. He has featured in every 365 since 2012 and has a Flickr album to himself! He is getting on in years and has not been himself recently. We're hoping it is a blip but it maybe that his dog years are finally catching him. He grew up with the kids and puts up with a lot, including me often taking pictures of him! He will be sorely missed when he does go off to play ball in the sky but he has had a good life. Fingers crossed for some more time with him.

51/123 - Illustrate a favourite quote. I use this one quite often at work.

For 121 Pictures in 2021 #47 "Illustrate a book title" these are serrano and Thai chiles, both red and green to go on the cover of "The Devil's Dinner, a gastronomic and cultural history of chili peppers" by Stuart Walton. I should note that his use of "chili peppers is incorrect, anything referring to the plant or the pod itself should be spelled chile. The term chili should be only used to refer to a stew making use of chiles. This was borne out by extensive research on the internet, where, as we all know, everything is correct.

Our ”We’re Here!” theme today is Photographic terms illustrated. I enjoy shooting into the sun to see what kind of crazy lens flare and starburst effects I can get.

Illustrated are the government building and St. Florin Catholic Cathedral in downtown Vaduz, The Principality of Liechtenstein, a German-speaking microstate situated in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria. The principality is a semi-constitutional monarchy headed by the Prince of Liechtenstein; the Prince's extensive powers are equivalent to those of a President in a semi-presidential system.

Liechtenstein is Europe's fourth-smallest country, with an area of just over 160 square kilometres (62 square miles) and a population of 38,749. Divided into 11 municipalities, its capital is Vaduz, and its largest municipality is Schaan. It is also the smallest country to border two countries. (Wikipedia)

My guess is this suit wasn’t bought at M&S. The title is an oblique nod to Ray Bradbury.

This image too is from Harbourville, N.S. It also illustrates many of the contributing elements that make this place so unique. The vivid colors on the homes that enhance the beauty of this village. The many colors used on the fishing vessels. And of course, the mud flats when the tide is out. This is all part of the Bay of Fundy, where tides are the most extreme in the world.

It would be an interesting conversation with the captain of this troller, to discover how it remains upright. Angled above the mud, precariously moored on an angle, and equipped with a "V" bottom. It all looks rather challenging to this untrained eye, but to them, just another day parked on the sidelines.

Same alley as before from the other side of Center Street. Again it was the sun that caught my eye here and resulted in the click of the shutter.

This photo illustrates what direct sunlight does to the colors shown in the previous image. Taken later in the afternoon, this photo lets viewers see how the browns become predominant and the turquoise and red shades, while still there, appear subdued in the overall presentation.

Something about shady light really brings out the chromatic range in Chinle images. I've seen this at other sites, too. Chinle photographers will want to take into account the differences that shade, cloud cover, and sun angle can make.

Although this portion of the site near the mesa is predominantly brown, farther out under the brown layer there is a thick layer that is a brilliant red. None of this is visible from the nearest road (a rough 4x4 track). After driving the rutty dirt road for over a mile, you have to walk up a small hill to look out over the vast spread of color below. This Chinle outcrop is about a mile wide and 10 miles long.
