My ridiculous audit continues. I've been trying really hard NOT to include it in my Flickr life much because really, what’s the point?
But today, I had another appt. and my CPA went up there after me having spent over 40 HOURS gathering all the papers, finding receipts, checks, etc. and even taking pictures and writing all the information down to explain everything.
I found AN ADDITIONAL $14k of expenses! Documented! This is no bullshit.
What did she do?
She tagged one of my largest expenses totaling $51k (one of my vendors) and said she didn’t like the report they sent me (stating on their own letterhead how I had spent $51k that year) because she thinks that perhaps I made it up myself! LOL And mind you, this is when she is sitting there in front of a stack of invoices from them with the canceled checks!
I AM NOT AMUSED!!
This whole thing has taken such a toll on me. Sleepless nights, lost orders, frustration, the list goes on.
So, now I have to start sorting all these invoices and STAPLING EACH CHECK to the matching invoice. How ridiculous is that when I already have a statement from the vendor of the total amount! Good God, can't she just CALL HER? The accounting lady's number and extension is on the front page of the fax!
Frankly, I think she’s PISSED that it may turn out they owe ME money. Frankly, they do, I just hope I don’t have to hire an attorney to resolve this…
Sometimes, I think I should just go get a job at a nice library and sort books all day…
