My shortest title yet - IH for International Harvester - a hard working truck found on many farms.
Happy Truck Thursday!
Forgotten heavy duty International Harvester grain hauler coming back into view after being buried in the overgrowth at an abandoned northern Illinois farm....
A recent American Pickers show was about a long Metro Van like this that was used by Aerosmith for many years in the early days. This one seems to say Standard Dairy Limited in green letters above the windshield. These vans were made from 1938 to 1975.
Well preserved snub nosed diesel; someone has applied fresh paint and put them out to pasture for display.

Got to be one of the cleanest 80s cars l have spotted that wasn't at a car show, in amazing condition and it even has its original number plate!
Still working the fields this old International has good bones - IH are workhorses on a farm,
Happy Truck Thursday
North Dakota farm truck....well, maybe not lately.
Nice '61 International pickup.
Back to the Fifties car show.

This is an Interstate we try to avoid when we can. My son was driving and I was able to take this photo.
Old International Harvester sheller resting between the last remaining buildings on a farm near Forreston,IL. The farm is a rusty treasure of old farm -tractors,combines,trucks included-and begs for a re-visit in the fall....
Have a great Truck Thursday all!
I've learned....That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

FYI: I have played with the contrasts and levels, I'm not really THAT orange!!;-)
This is only the second International Harvester Metro Van that I have found. This one is clearly longer than my first.
The iconic Metro vans were so-called "multi-stop" delivery trucks built from 1938-1975. Drivers could choose to sit or stand while driving the vans, which came in three sizes, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton. Many years of tree sap coat this one.
IH 424 Tractor and YH71 stingray/Victoria, this old tractor is one of several dotted along the beach and is used for hauling the fishing boats ashore.
The International Harvester 424 tractor was built by International Harvester from 1964 to 1967, with partial manufacture in Doncaster, England and final assembly in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
