Efrem Zimbalist Jr. was teaching a class in basic hieroglyph deciphering while playing in a pick up band with the well known singer songwriter Albert Einstein. His hit "Oh Dear What can the Matter Be?" was barely on the charts when they found each other in a dive bar with a very shallow pool and no board. It was impossible to start in the deep end this way which suited them both. Even with a lining that was garish in bright light, they found a way to coordinate in more ways than one. This was before hats had gone out of fashion and haircuts were just coming into their own. That sounds ruder than I'd hoped but still falls short in cold water. There was the expected pile up just before closing time and the best bits were the first to go save for the hidden gems at the hem line.

To finish making the leopard suit I thought of using a pair of old gloves and modifying them with fur and claws. Because I write so poorly, I ended up with an odd clause and made very clumsy faux paws. Three English majors just leapt out of windows. ( Something to do with rank and an aversion to mock turtlenecks. ) It was hoped to be a controlled fall or at least a soft landing on colorful leaves. Sadly, they were all in basement apartments and seriously scuffed their knees. Scuffing does make shiny surfaces easier to paint which is a handy albeit impractical way to hide the bruising. You can stop hitting me now. Or not if you are really having fun. I'm off to reboot if I can find a good cobbler. Mmmmm, rhubarb and loganberry. A horse, a near sighted proctologist and a body building female impersonator go into a bar. No, I mean three guys in gorilla suits were walking towards the first tee. I'm sorry, yesterday, I was walking backwards trying to adjust to daylight savings time. Yeah, that was it. I couldn't fit my finger in the clock because it was analog, so I was stuck with hand me downs. It's only an hour but I get cold without regular winding.

My friends from France insist one egg is an oeuf, but I'm still hungry. Listening to rare b-sides of classics like "Peg of my Heart" by the Bela Lugosi orchestra is a great way to pass the time until the record skips. Not in a fey way, but missing meals nonetheless. It could be in a Link Wray, or a Fay Wray, but gorillas have a tough time with guitars in general, let along surfer punk riffs. Over the moon in a kind of strange bovine fantasy. The leap seemed utterly impossible until a surprise goose that the old man hadn't counted on stepped in and lifted his spirits as it were. The beautiful nurse had been so helpful, it seemed fitting to share the story. Sadly, the fitting the plumber brought was threaded and left a painful mark that will take some time to heal. xenophaedja: @scott52390 I shoot in the native camera but you can shoot any way you like. I use Big Lens to get rid of background details. Snapseed and Noir for black and white, Scratchcam for grunge. I also use a few other apps like blender, iDarkroom, etc too.

xenophaedja: @jwsese thank you. I don't. It's a result of a lot of choices. I don't like posed images, nor creepy voyeur stuff. Electing to grab images relatively randomly, and choosing those that don't insult the subject, I find peace in my own way. I hope to not victimize, insult or exploit, but that is the risk. My favorite images have seemed candid, though, disappointedly, some have been staged. Raw street images of another time, are thrilling, but in suburbia, in daily life, I choose to create a romantic view. My silly ramblings are just a bad brain leak I choose to expose as randomly as the pictures I make.

Having thought for the longest time that "carpe diem" meant "fish of the day" I naturally struggled when it was my turn to order. The restaurant hadn't been my choice, but at the last minute very few places this hip have room for a large group wearing horse costumes. We'd separated earlier in the festivities into all backs and all fronts not realizing it would make seating fairly specific. It was the right call to vanpool but the accident report had been really unkind. There had been no shovel, and no one saw the parade of tiny clown cars or the giraffe. I do like sushi, or at least I thought I did before the screaming started. Even in France this is not a popular way the serve these.

After twenty three tries at making bean John Malkovich soup, it was clear I'd missed something. Normally, I'm a pretty poor listener, but it hadn't proven to be fatal very many times. (There was that incident with with pinking shears in the lingerie department at Lane Bryant, but we'll try to put that behind us. True, it wasn't exactly fatal, but if I'd have stood up any quicker, it would have been much tougher to sew back on. ) It was the best of times ( and the worst of times) to be a sausage maker, but only a few German speakers would make the connection, and having done so, would not not laugh anyway. He realized he'd either broken several federal laws or was a victim of a really odd euphemism. He could also end up with a really irritated bird. In any event, a short walk in the cold was the only illogical solution. Sticking to the park bench had been a painful nuisance, but worth it to get that kind of distinctive marking. A small price to pay with no change in return. Having run out of quarters it was back to what he had been doing before. No, not that. His bird wasn't lonely.

I was on a photowalk with a friend who happens to be a duck. He caught me smirking at a "Post No Bills" sign and gave me a dirty look even after I insisted I was just admiring the staplework. I know that you need to temper the oil and keep it at 350 degrees or the beer batter gets really greasy or won't brown. That's important to remember since everyone seems crazy about both beer and baseball and I have very few PC batter references and even fewer that come out properly crispy. It's kind of a roundabout way of getting to the point, but I need the exercise and my other hand has gone numb holding the flashlight. Why don't they put pockets so you don't get ugly or highly provocative bulges? It's a question that requires more research, and some serious funding. The app didn't work, so please don't ask.
