The Igers Birmingham UK Insta Meet - IGBUK Meet Lockup, at the West Midlands Police Museum.

It was formerly the Lock-up next to Steelhouse Lane Police Station and the Victoria Law Courts.

It dates to the late 19th century, it only closed around 2016.

Later converted into a museum around 2020. But was open by 2022.

The Cell Block. Three floors, to see, ground floor, basement floor and first floor.

Accessed via modern staircases, the old Victorian cell block stairs you can't use.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

The afternoon visit to Key Hill Cemetery in the Jewellery Quarter with the Jewellery Quarter Cemeteries guide on the Igers Birmingham UK Instameet as part of IGBUK Meet JQ Cemetery's.

It was raining non stop during the visit, and she let us into the dark catacombs, had to be lit up.

Various famous Birmingham family graves here, like the Tolkien's, Bird's, Chamberlain's and more.

Into the catacombs. The guide unlocked the doors for us to have a look inside. Had to use flash for the photos inside.
