This is the warbler of the desert. No other warbler can be found in the same harsh habitat that Lucy's call home in the driest parts of Arizona, southern California, New Mexico, and extreme southern Utah. This shot from an Arizona Photo Tour a couple years ago.

Magnificent emerald-green giant of a broadbill, with distinctive black mottling and streaking. Males have black streaking on the underparts which females lack. A specialty of Borneo’s central highlands, where it can be found in montane forest with extensive tall pristine growth. Typically seen singly, but occasionally also in pairs or small flocks, especially at fruiting trees. Gives a sharp metallic “tlak!”, followed by a grating rattle.

The yellow-rumped flowerpecker is a species of bird in the family Dicaeidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia on the island of Borneo, to which it is endemic. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests
